I know we actually haven't passed Clemson yet to move up from 16th, but you don't have to be the amazing Kreskin to know that Clemson is going to follow Florida, LSU and others after loosing
their coach in charge of Player Development along with the OC and DC all simultaneously. What coaches and players will follow the DC and the OC to Oklahoma and Virginia ?

Worst possible timing and it all has happened in a period of what? 1 week - yikes and double yikes. Their program could be in shambles - craziness going on.

They have a 92 average lol.

We're at 88...worlds apart quality wise.

We have a long ways to go to build back to quality classes. But Hype 100% gets a pass this class...impossible situation really. 2023 class is when they'll have had time to build relationships.

But yes 100% laughing at Clemson. They won't fall off completely...but their big competitive advantages might be gone. Could see a new standard of 9-10 wins, but no more playoffs.

A top 15 class in his 1st full class says alot about his ability to recruit. I don't think we are close to being finished either. If we can grab Copeland and the 4* back Williams, the offense will be pretty much set. Hit Juco for a few defenders and we might be on to something.

This. Gotta get some plug and play guys on defense from JUCO

I am betting they lose at least two more of those highly rated recruits and it is a little late to get in on anybody else. Those are also the coaches that are leading contacts to the JC's and transfer portal.
They are likely screwed for this year.

We don't have time to wait on younger guys. If the offense is going to carry us, we need guys who are physically ready to play immediately on defense. Doesn't mean don't recruit defenders, but the attention should be on experienced transfers and Juco until we can get our roster balanced out. This gives those mid tier recruits on defense an opportunity to develope while we try to win now. I believe we are one 9-10 win season away from the flood gates opening for us on the National recruiting stage.

And we just passed Clemson on Rivals to move into 16th over there. I would rather be in our shoes than in Clemson's shoes recruiting wise right now.

Look at what he does with lesser players so I would not be to concerned about the 4% difference

It’s really no different than the NFL. You build long term via the draft vs. “win now” via free agency.

It’s a weird relationship when it comes to college recruiting. In order to build long term with recruits you need to put more effort towards JUCO/transfer portal prospects in the short term.

Yeah with the NFL you have to pick one. You typically can't do both unless you're really good at drafting. In College the rosters are so much larger that u can go after both. At least until you fill out a full roster that can compete at a high level.

Yea, the player average has always been more important than the total points IMO.

Yeah exactly. Drafting focus is more for a rebuild mindset—can’t really get away with multiple losing seasons in college if you want anything to happen.

It’s been weird ebbs and flows with UT. You hit the transfer portal to win now, recruits take notice if you start winning, more and more commit to UT and then you don’t need to try on the transfer portal.

On offense this coach simply needs a strong/good online and a good QB and the scheme will make the WRs and RBs look like nfl caliber.

Eventually the classes will get to were they are stacked top to bottom but this year top 15 is fine and honestly put us in great shape as long as Hooker returns.

Not to mention the fact that A&M's DC leaving might still give us a puncher's chance with Nolan. If he doesnt sign with A&M in the early signing period, I'd say that bodes very well for us!

Hes already pretty great. He took Clemson from an average ACC team to what they are now.

Yes, it's hard to lose when your whole HCing career you've had.
Tajh Boyd
Deshaun Watson
Trevor Lawrence
This year with DJU has been a downer and losing coordinators I look for another slight decline.
