College basketball rankings: Baylor earns unanimous No. 1 spot in new AP Top 25 poll (msn.com)

Baylor returned to being the unanimous No. 1 in the AP Top 25 on Monday following Arizona's loss to Tennessee last week. The Wildcats fell from No. 6 to No. 9 following their 77-73 defeat on the road against the Volunteers. It was Arizona's first loss of the season, and it was enough for the one AP voter who voted for the Wildcats at No. 1 last week to reverse course and return unanimous status to Baylor.
The Bears are 11-0 and scheduled to play Northwestern State on Tuesday before beginning Big 12 play with a massive showdown at No. 8 Iowa State on Saturday. This marks Baylor's third straight week at No. 1.
Other notable movements in this week's poll included Tennessee jumping five spots to No. 14 following the Arizona win and Michigan State rising into the top-10 at No. 10 after being at No. 11 last week. The Spartans are on a five-game winning streak and off to a 2-0 start in Big Ten play. Alabama dropped nine spots to No. 19 following its loss to Davidson, and Xavier dropped five spots to No. 23 following a 71-58 loss to Villanova, who rose a single spot to No. 22.

Figured we might break the top 15 after the Arizona win and Bama losing. I’m not entirely convinced we are a top 15 team (still obvious issues, offensively), but those guys have earned it.

Good for our Vols jumping up 5 spots. I didn't understand why the Vols were ranked #19.
It's been a fun ride so far this year. Let's see where we go from here on out. GBO !!!

Well UT dropped an embarrassing game to Texas Tech recently, so they weren't going to do much more in terns of moving up.

TT is ranked #25 in both polls and was only unranked earlier because they were flying under the radar. I agree the way the game was played was embarrassing, but TT is no slouch.

Tech seems to be a better team than what there ranking is. I know the Vols shot there selves in the foot a lot and make a lot of dumb mistakes that costed them that game but they are better than #14. I honestly think the Vols are a top 10 team. We need to take care of business this week against Bama. Bama main issue that is costing them close games is that have trouble rebounding. Maybe ON, Huntley and Fulkerson will dominate the inside.

I think we would win in a rematch. We just shot terrible
Shot terrible is an understatement. We missed like 52 shots or some sh!Tt like that. It was crazy that we didn’t get beat by 40 missing that many shots and not getting many 2nd chances.

We need to bring our “ A “ game at Bama.
We have not matched up very well against
them recently.

This is definitely a top 15 team currently and a top 10 ten in February!

I like your enthusiasm and I certainly hope you are right. I think we are top 25 for sure, but I would like to see a little more improvement and consistency on the offensive end before I am utterly convinced that we are better than all but 10–15 teams in the country.

I do hope my skepticism turns out to be wrong though.
