It looks like we have our first official offer to a player in the portal. Marley Cook, DT from MTSU.

I wanted to start a thread specifically for players we have actually reached out to, not a speculation thread (which is fun and awesome, but can be a bit much when you are looking for info).

No disrespect to him personally........

A 6'1" 285 tackle for one season from a terrible CUSA team? No thanks, Vols just really need to up there game, especially using the portal. Need someone that can FOR SURE come in and start day one.

Looks like he has a handler and that part of it sucks. What's in it for the handler?

Offers from Missouri, Ohio State, UT, Miami, Louisville, TCU, Ole Miss.

He’s also, 6’2, 298. For reference, Norman-Lott is 6’3, 300,

He’ll post more offers today I bet

He’s soliciting to set up meetings on Marley’s behalf and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even represent him. His twitter has him tweeting at him like he’s pursuing him as a client, not already existing relationship. Can he be sued for that?

You missed this one. Marley is clearly a client and also re-tweeting things from this guy.

There’s a difference between a bad team and a bad coaching. MTSU should’ve won most of their games against a hard G5 schedule but blew late close games. They should’ve beat Mizzou, Colorado St, Jax State, Liberty, NMSU, and SHSU which would’ve put them at 10-2 with losses to Bama and WKU. This past year’s team was very talented, coaching held them back. That has become evident with the coach who was there forever getting fired and every one on these players getting interest from P5 and high level G5 programs. That MTSU DL held Jase McClellan and Cody Schrader to under 4 ypc as well this season
