Vols excited for challenge of living up to hype
A talented squad could vie for more than just an SEC title.

Read this article this morning in the local paper. Good to see such a positive article about UT in Gator land.

Not bad. Should have an inroad or two in the Tampa area with some recruits. With + reports like this, Jones + Spoelstra + Gruden, and that massive bowl beatdown in town. Can't hurt in the area. Well, except for Mack Crowder that is. :-\

Do you live in Tampa? I lived there for 10 years. My family still lives there.

Makes me hope the rumor is true that he got punched in the gut by Butch.

Just don't move here.

Exactly. I like visiting my family down there in Tampa and had a great time the 10 years I lived there (99-09) but I needed a change. Still have some great friends there but man has a lot of ppl moved to Tampa. Traffic everywhere! Always hot and humid and the job market stinks. I always tell ppl that FL is a vacation spot not somewhere you wanna live. But each their own.

Absolutely spot on. I went home to E Tn. for the first time in 6 years last month and it was everything I had to come back here. I always enjoyed visiting as my wife was raised here but it just isn't home.Changed her from a gator to a VOL so not all bad!!!!

Yeah, little crowded for my taste.
We moved here 6 years ago and within 2 weeks 4 police officers were killed. We sat down and asked ourselves what we are doing. For anyone moving this way with kids... don't do public schools. On the positive side, daughter will be at UT next year.

I'm in Tampa as well. Moved down here shortly after I graduated in 2000. I'm in the Westchase area. Do you guys still watch the games at Charann's Tavern on Memorial?

Sure do! We're going to have a kickoff party at the end of August. Join the Facebook page and you'll get the details on it. Hope to see you there this year

I lived in Greenmont (Greendale Drive) for nine years.
I'm in Citrus Park now.

I'm not in Tampa area, but just outside Orlando. I get to Tampa a handful of times each year. It was great to be there on New Year's Day when we whipped Purple Vandy. Oops, did I use that derogatory term? How unsportsmanlike of me.
