you’re right, Nobody has come out and said definitively that he has a new contract because that’s not public knowledge nor has his team of handlers made it public. However AP and Nakos both said he’s with the team and practicing, and they expect him to be there thru the spring.

I guess there’s a small chance that he got cold feet or backed off, but I don't think that’s what happened based on what Hubbs said on the mailbag pod this morning. Sounded like he also felt like RG got a new deal and (paraphrasing here) Ricky should not say anything else to the media/socials from here on out and should put his head down and get to work.

I think it’s fair to say he got a new deal, otherwise I don't think the VQers would be insinuating he did. I also dont think he would have been at practice today if not.

He can always leave when the portal opens, deal or no deal, so even a new deal doesn’t mean he’s staying for good. That goes for everyone on the team until someone comes up with something that works for everyone regarding NIL deals.

Executive Summary:
I have no inside knowledge, but reading this...
He got a new deal on the condition that he don't say nothing to nobody about his new deal. That would explain everything.

That was kinda my interpretation of it too, especially based on Hubbs perspective.

This is a tired narrative, especially after the play of the CBs last year. Trail techniques have been explained ad nauseam on this board. They play like they’re coached and they’re coached the same as other big time schools’ DBs.

This is huge if true. Losing both Squirrel and Gibbson would have been a hard pill to swallow. I have taken great joy in seeing players from Bama‘s back yard stepping up for the orange. Gibbson is going to be an absolute beast this season

I do not think it is fair speculate on matters of which you have no information. It isn't fair to him, the University or the rest of the team. Maybe Alabama or Florida suggested that he suck it up and stay at Tennessee.

So its ok to speculate that he’s staying because other teams told him to? Or not ok to speculate at all? Maybe pick one and lets see who is correct when it all shakes out

You are so full of it. You make incorrect assumptions In most of your posts. Just go back home in Alabama and realize your football team is on longer the master of the SEC. However, it is kind of fun to see your responses and posts.
