You are aware that Will Levis was already at Kentucky about 3 months before we took in said transfer to Tennessee. So yes, a bit easier.
Would you like me to look at the transfer and point out how many better qbs there are than Milton if not you get the point. He sucks and if Heupel can do no better we are fked anyway

I think that Heupel is a good coach, and I like him. However, this puts me off the Heupel Train. I do not approve of his QB decisions and really hate that he is sabotaging the team's chances to win this year.

It’s his 1st year as the HC. I personally don’t like it but it is what it is.

You don’t have to agree with it but something tells me Milton has potential to be a good QB. Heupel thinks he can fix it so I’ll give him a chance.

However, if he continues to do this every year then it’s fair to question his future as the HC.

Not sure that I do get the point. Are there better QBs than Milton? Sure. Are there better QBs in the portal? Maybe. Are there better QBs that can run this system and willing to come to TN? Possibly. We aren't the prettiest girl at the dance right now. Maybe he is the best we could get. And possibly the best we have on the team. Time will tell if Heupel can do anything with him or not.

Call me crazy, but I hope our head coach and other coaches are always going to try to coach players up. Including Milton.

But you do it at the cost of games? It would seem to me he has enough experience to not be having these problems with the pass. His other game skills seem to be ok (not great). But I just don't think any coaching can correct his problems with the pass. He has a great arm and throwing technique. Yes he can throw the hell out of the ball,,,,, just can pass it. To me there is a big difference in throwing and passing.

If HB is really going to redshirt (as some report) then take him off the board. If he is still competing for the job, put him and let's see what he's got! And do it in a meaningless Tenn T game we should easily win regardless before the most important game on the schedule the next week! It ain't that complicated coach!

Milton might have potential to be a good QB, but he is not a good QB. How many games must this team lose because Heupel believes in Milton's potential? If Milton suddenly starts hitting long passes and anticipating routes of his receivers instead of failing to see open receivers or waiting too long to hit open windows, I'll be happy. But how many games should be sacrificed for his blankety blank potential?! He is not doing those things. I hate losing to Florida. Who thinks the team has any chance with Joe Milton playing? Who thinks that Milton gives the team its best chance to win? Anybody?

Best we have ? You know thats bs if you watched Hooker play Saturday. The guy did more in 2 and a half qtrs than Milton has done at all. Please spare me the practice bit also. Hooker wasn't prepared with many reps to play Saturday. He still outshines Milton. And no matter what anyone says about Heupel this truly starting to feel like its going to be the same song different verse.

I am pessimistic about Milton's potential to improve. If I were his coach and I still saw potential, I would continue to coach up in a game like Tech.

Playing Hooker results in a more productive offense oven though he's still somewhat of a walking turnover at the moment.

My guess is CJH thinks that Milton is a hair away and, also that this is his last chance for calibrating his arm.

I think that is a false narrative. According to Heupel's presser, hooker has been getting as many reps as Milton. Probably not first team, but plenty to feel comfortable behind center. Hooker has had twice as many turnovers in 3 quarters as MIlton has in 5 quarters. And if you look at the numbers. we ran a much slower offense with Hooker than we do with Milton. About 6 seconds difference on average per play. And with a high tempo offense, that 6 seconds is a big deal. If Milton can connect on just a few deep balls, it opens up the play book and speeds up our offense. Hooker is more mobile and more accurate. But he is also more turnover friendly and limits the plays downfield. I think Milton is the lesser of two evils. I am not overly impressed with either of them. And I realize that the last coach up to AD was inept at what they were doing. But we shouldn't use that as evidence for what the new admin and coach are trying to achieve.

We need some height brought in at WR. Josh Malone, Preston Williams and Marquez Callaway were hard to overthrow

If Milton was injured badly enough not to return then I doubt they run him out against TTU. Same for Small.

Such a fickle “fan base” we have. We have a sample size of less than two games of Milton playing under Heupel. And you guys already know that Milton 1. has some terrible problem that the backups don’t have and 2. that this problem is now irreparable. Why was his time at Michigan not evidence of a problem ten days ago, but a portion of two games makes it suddenly unresolvable? Give the coach and players support during the rebuild. It will make your life much less stressful and you could actually enjoy watching a game

I thought of something else I wanted to add.
You're correct, there is a big difference between throwing and passing. Milton needs to throw eggs to his recievers in practice. Everyone knows instinctively the "feel" of throwing and egg gently so the person can catch it as opposed to firing off a bullet.
