those teams had leinart, jarrett, smith, white, and bush among many other big time playmakers that bailed them out of many many games. this team has who? turner? booty? hardly comparable.

who allowed the superhuman performance? I love how a perceived "bad" coach gets all the blame for losses and no credit for wins, and a "good" coach gets all the credit in the world for wins, but losses are never their fault. it's always something else. "superhuman performances" and what not.

I told you all UGA would still be ranked ahead of us. From what I saw yesterday, not only should UGA have been ranked 12th in the nation, but they shouldn't be ranked at all right now. They were just terrible. However, I guess you can't fight that Bobby Bowden overrated trickle down effect.

Wow, Do you work for ESPN or the Sporting News? You have bought all the hype. I have watched every USC game this year and they are not the dominate team the media would have you believe. They lost to STANFORD. They almost lost to WASHINGTON. Come on, Don't believe the hype.

usc does seem to show up for big games, but at cal, at oregon, at asu, and rival ucla... does anyone think they will definitely be able to get through all of these without another loss?

now on the other hand, one thing that's annoying me is ohio state. les miles was just off target when he said usc had an easy path to the NC, the biggest hurdles osu has to the big game? purdue and michigan?

Screw the polls, they will work themselves out eventually. I only care about 2 letters right now: W and L.

The AP poll is still very significant regardless if that poll is used in the BCS formula or not. The AP still names a national champion independent of who plays in the BCS game. That's very significant since the NCAA itself doesn't even name a national champion in D1A football (or FBS or whatever they call it). You do realize that D1A football is the only sport in which the NCAA doesn't recognize a national champion.

The polls love UGA, South Carolina beat them in Athens and they were still ranked higher. Ya'll kinda took care of that last week though. Good win, the Vols should be ranked higher than they are.

I'm not saying that I really believe that Wisconsin or any of the teams ranked below Floria are more talented...I just can't understand what the criteria is for these rankings.

Guys, Georgia is ranked 23 in the coaches poll and we aren't ranked. They also are 1 spot ahead of us in the AP poll with us at 25 and them at 24. This is the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen. We lost to Cal and Florida who both have been in the top 3 this year and on the road too. Georgia lost to a top 20 South Carolina and an unranked Tennessee team. This doesn't add up. How did this happen and how can this be justified?I'm really pissed about this one. Did we not settle on the field who was the better team?

Its good to see a number beside our name but all in all I really couldn't care less about the polls. Its been this way for the past few years, in the end we'll be where we need to be.

This is why polls mean squat. UT has lost 2 games to teams (now) ranked with an average of 6th. Florida has lost 2 games to teams with an average current ranking of 12. And Auburn was unranked at the time. Yet we are 12 spots back of them and below the team we just demolished. We need a playoff.
