If Bama blows out the Gators and Houston smashes Temple the Vols could move up in next weeks final poll. :good!:

That is exciting. I really wish there was a way we could play #20 USC in a bowl. They are also 8-4 and I think we would crush them.

This is also a bit depressing thinking what could have been. Just 17 points. I truly think next year is our year.

Knox I remember when the committee was named a lot of folks asked about Condi Rice's credentials and I think she said she held some position in the Athletic Department at Stanford for a while so she does have SOME exposure.

I lol'd so hard. Everthing from the Butchisms to the mega run-on sentence. Almost perfect! Just needed to work in:

- Resiliency
- Individual
- Power of 1 / Power of the Position
- Grind

Screw it, I've gotta give you a standing slow :clapping:

In order of preference:

Michigan - Nothing tricky or fancy. A poor man's Bama with less talent.
Iowa - We'd be double-digit favorites.
PSU - James Franklin?
Northwestern - I just can't get excited about playing the Vandy of the Big10. It'll be the '96 Citrus Bowl all over again.

i do. especially 95, 96, 97, 98.

those teams were NASTY talented. i didn't realize it at the time, but every time i get a chance to watch a game from those years, it is truly remarkable how good those teams really were. they were LOADED.

as for the bowl game this year, it probably appears they won't be making the trip to the Queen City (sad for selfish reasons), so if they go to the outback bowl, i'd like to get Penn State. my wife's family is from pennsylvania, so that'd be fun, and i'd absolutely love to beat James Franklin.

Michigan 2nd, that'd be a good match up and the winner of that game i think really gets a good bit of momentum even in 2nd tier bowl game, going in to the off season.

We deserved it! A hard fought #25 spot.
With our close losses to top teams and strength of schedule should've made it a no-brainer. Proud of my team, Go Vols!!!

Well, if we win the bowl game my W/L prediction will be accurate and I'm modestly satisfied but not elated. The top 25 makes it sweeter.

Looking forward to a min of 10-2 w/ SEC title game presence 2016. A break in the pattern of really questionable coaching moments would help me feel more confident as well but I'm a pleased Vol fan right now.

Exactly. I think we can jump up atleast to maybe 24 or 23 after all the championship games have been played.

Who knows though I'm not even really thinking about that I'm just thrilled we made the top 25 cut.

Lol, I agree, that was awesome. Also needed to mention the Maturation process.

Question tho. If FL drops from the top 25, wouldn't we drop also? They did win OUR division and beat us in regular season.
