Vols Practice Thread Wednesday

I won't label him a bust till the end of his time here, he wasn't ready when he got here which was disappointing but it happens, I'm hoping he'll get there because he has the talent I think most of his is mental and will power.
I wouldn't either. Came in with a shoulder injury and DKjr hit him hard in practice and aggravated it. I look for him, crouch, and harrison to control our edges in the future.

Uhh there aren’t supposed to be pads popping.... it’s not High School....

I went to some practices in 97’ and they went to war in practice. Very violent, fights. Lots of very violent and physical competition in drills. I even saw a coach get in-between a few players fighting in a line drill who got his nose bloodied.

I saw a coach kick a player off his DB drill and tell him to never come back for lack of contact. When I say tell, I mean call him names, yell and cuss.

Respectfully, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Respectfully, I played the game in college lol. You have the majority of the contact during spring and fall camp. Once game weeks roll in you basically only maybe have contact the first day back. Then the rest you are just going through your drills and walkthroughs. But please tell me how practices should go. Since obviously you know so much. 😂

During the season you are trying to prevent injuries so all of your guys are ready to go by game day.

😂 You played on a college team that didn’t hit during practice all year. You were playing in the band🤣🥴.

I watched the SEC Champ 97’ Vols practice. Portions were very violent and intense. I can only imagine what they’d done if they got beat by Ga. State or BYU.

And they let them go at it. The coaches didn’t break up scuffles much.

Keep trolling. You have no clue

Did you play college sports may I ask? Because you sound like an idiot. 😂

Also, obviously you still “hit” during the year but very rarely during the actual season do you take guys to the ground. (It’s called preventing injuries - because you know who wants to lose their starting players because of something stupid in practice)

I have news for you as well, it’s not the 90s anymore.

They are in shoulder pads and shorts... obviously not a “hitting” day.

If you want to see pads popping go over to the scout team where they are still learning how to play and improve their technique.

Oh and just for reference “Look at the pads popping in this Alabama practice from a day ago...you know since they suck and all....”

Now GTFOH with your non-athletic self 😂 had to go watch a practice in 97 because you were never good enough in sports to be on the practice field or in a game 😂

Aw heck, looks like Tee Martin himself weighed in on our little disagreement. Clearly I know far more about championship caliber football practices than you and clearly if you really played college ball, your team sucked. Maybe you should tell Tee about your team that wore skirts to practices. I’m sure he’d be impressed.

Tee Martin said:
“We went against the defense at the end of practice, we tried to kill them. They tried to kill us. Then on Saturday we were best friends. We were brothers on Saturdays. But we absolutely tried to hurt each other at practice.”

What Tee Martin told the Knoxville QB Club
