A couple of things I notice. Still no music. Just straight out coaching. Also, no black stripes on the helmets. Looks like the days of gimmicks is over guys and gals. Just good ol footballin. And Juan Jennings looks big at receiver. Here's to him taking that ball in any battle. Man, I'm ready for some football!!! Go Vols!

Has that been confirmed?
Deerpark is usually spot on and he has indicated repeatedly that black is not in our color palette from Nike this year which means it won't happen with game jersies.

The border on tge numbers is grey, not black, which is on the palette. The situation is that uniforms are ordered a year ahead of time. Pruitt and former were able to get the checkerboard of this year because the stripes are sewn afterwords and easy to change. For info sake, the black cleats are considered equipment and not uniform so they don't have to be smokey grey.

Jeremy Banks is built like a tank and moves well too. He may make waves this year.

Jennings looking thicker than last year. Is he slower? Hope not. Hope he's just put on muscle and kept his speed. With his skill, and agression plus TO style strength ... Watch out.

WR #4 and #85 look very athletic. #8 as expected is lightening fast.

Every time I watch these, I get more excited @ our LB group. I mean the traditional 4-3 ones. #35,14,34 look NFL capable. #21 & #23 are right there too. Very excited that the middle of our D may not look like an empty 3 lane interstate this year.

Great to hear @ TKjr too. With him in top shape, I'm confident in our 5 assumed top guys. Jax, Kelly, Sham, Abernathy, & NW.

Our defense looks really good talent wise. Hoping the depth issues are being solved. Now, the big Q is ... can this group learn a new system and lock it down play after play. I have doubts in yr 1, but if they do then this group could be very good.

Thx Fingers for the daily updates. You're the man.

Do you know if black outlines/names are on order for next season game jerseys?

Deerpark specifically addressed the outline numbers and said they wouldn’t see the field.

Hmmm. Innerstin'.

Iirc, way back. I mean like in the 80s that is. I remember the outlines coming in and it being a grey and not actual black outline. I've always liked it. Although I really hope they retain the new Nike font for the #s. Please don't let em go back to the ancient middle school block letters.

I believe that a large percentage of catching the football is mental, concentration, envisioning the catch. At this stage of the season, there are a lot of distractions, new situations and coaches to get used to. Let's give it a bit of time to play out before we decide the sky is falling.
