These quotes make no sense. So was Trey working at Guard or Tackle? Or do we have another Smith?

We're gonna start trey smith at all 5 o line positions at the same time

From most of the practice reports I've read, Murphy's been catching the ball all camp either way. Now, some of the other WRs are the ones that have been struggling with drops. Murphy is about to have a break-out year, Watch. For some reason I read and watched a lot about the Mississippi/Alabama all-star game last year and this kid shined.

I don't understand putting Shamburger at Safety. We are so loaded there with Warrior, Abernathy, Kelly, Theo Jackson to name a few.

He did a great job in limited play last season at Nickelback. Who will be the 1 & 2 deep at Nickel?

Hopefully this means that between Taylor, Thompson, Flowers and the veterans, we are looking much better at CB/NB.

It tells me that Pruitt feels good about where we are at corner. Maybe he also feels that Shamburger is a more natural safety. If there's one thing the man has proven, he knows how to coach DB's

Your basic high school wuss boys could manhandle our TEs when asked to block the past few years. If we have someone just get in the way and buy the rest of our offense a 1 second reprieve it will be a 100% improvement.

Warrior, Abernathy, and Kelly are most likely all gone next year. Sham could be our starting safety in 2019

I get that. I just want to see this promising kid on the field more this year and he won't get a lot of snaps at Safety unless we are in blowout mode.

Does this mean that Todd Kelly is moving to TE?

Pruitt has moved a lot of guys around position-wise, so opposing coaches reading the practice notes don't even necessarily know where a guy like Trey Smith is going to line up on the O-line.

I don't know if this is deliberate gamesmanship or not (Saban was certainly capable of it), but think about being a West Virginia D-lineman and you have know idea if you're going to win the lining-up-across-from-Trey-Smith lottery.

Yessir. Hopefully it's both. CJP's apparently really into adding to his chess piece flexibility by allowing his matchups to be optimal at all spots. IE, he can conveniently move his guys around to maximize a greater number of his set up plays and whatever adjustments that're made throughout the game. In my 67 short years of processing oxygen on this round rock, I've not seen such positional mixability instilled in so many layers. I'd hate to game plan for UT's first game. It's becoming clearer and clearer why CJP and some of his staffers have sent so many players to the NFL. GBO!
