Vols pickup a 2011 commitment....

I can see why you would be scared of that since even UK can beat UGA.

And if you have no idea who the kid is you should probably just not comment

As far as Harris is concerned I stand by my statement. This kid could have some success at Louisiana Tech but if he ends up in the Vols starting lineup then your in a for a shock. This kind of commit is something you'd normally see at the end of the recruiting cycle not kicking off the class. No one outside of UT has offered and Harris isn't even rated in the top 50 in Georgia.

Apparently Derck Dooley doesn't have the same system for identifying athletes as Lane Kiffin....I'm a little less worried these days.

Are you freakin' kidding me?

We've gone through one of the worst 4 year stretches in the history of our program and still managed to beat UGA 3 out of those 4 years...all 3 being major beat downs...

If I were a UGA fan I'd spend less time worrying about Dooley's recruiting practices and more time worrying about my own team's issues...like how other teams are cherry picking all the in-state talent for starters

cherry-picking...................hmmmmm. Georgia routinely produces 100+ D-1 prospects on a yearly basis. We are a hotbed for recruiting. Ga centers it's recruiting on roughly the top 50. We can't make 'em all sign with Georgia. There is not a single successful team in the south that doesn't list a Georgia athlete on their roster. Tell Dooley he can have all the Christan Harris' he wants.....and enjoy your recent beatdowns for they'll be your only comfort come Oct. 10th.

Dude...you got 9 of your top 50 this year (per Rivals)...that's only 18% of your prized top 50 in-state recruits...

And you only managed to sign 4 of the top 10 players in Georgia this year...that's a whopping 1 more than UT alone got out of Georgia's top 10 (which includes your #1 overall)...

And you have to go back to 2004 to find the last time the #1 player in Georgia signed with UGA...

Again...you have plenty to worry about with your own team...I wouldn't waste any more time throwing stones from inside a glass house

What recruiting service even has rankings out yet? And I'm pretty sure Harris was getting looked at by big schools. I read that Aubarn was interested. Do a wee bit of research next time

I don't think research and facts are exactly his strong suit...baseless flaming and blind homerism seem to be his forte'

How about you respond to my previous post...the one where I point out that UGA hasn't signed the #1 recruit in Georgia since 2004, UGA signed less than 20% of the top 50 in-state players last year, and UGA lost 3 top 10 players to UT alone including the #1 overall player in the state?

Do you have a meaningful, non-flaming response that counteracts my post with facts of your own?

Didn't think so...

That's the thing about trolls like you...you ignore posts that refute your baseless trash talk and pick one insubstantial thing that allows you to continue your flaming...it's a pathetic attempt at misdirection...

Just watched some Rivals film on him and I gotta say, I'm not very impressed. The guy is definitely a step slow and he doesnt look quick enough to convert to DE so I gotta say I'm not sure what the staff see's in this kid. He also plays standing straight up and doesn't move his hips well.

Hey troll...one more thing...

If you're implying that UGA thumbs their nose up at players like Harris then please explain the Rivals-rated 5.2 two star Lonnie Outlaw that you all took this year...

This is the quality of athlete Dooley was recruiting at Louisiana Tech. Someone should tell CDD that he's no longer in Louisiana. Tennessee is fast becoming "Kentucky" :yikes:

what difference does it make? georgia can't beat kentucky either......at home.

georgia is all bark and no bite. when you can actually beat florida and tennessee in the same season.....you might actually have a football team worth talking about.

can you provide me a link to your information? Besides if it is true......so wtf? There can't be a whole lot of separation among the top 25 talent-wise....so don't play the ranking game with me. 80% of our roster consists of Georgia talent. To argue that we've lost control our own state, especially on the basis of 1 year is ridiculous. You signed a few Ga kids....it's going to happen......occasionally. Those recruits signed because of Kiffin....and now Dooley is signing Christian Harris'.

PS. UT only signed 2 of Ga's top 10...Rodgers(#1) and Neal(#7)...Michael Taylor(#10) bolted. @ least get your info straight.

I'm not implying anything.....just saying like 90% of the other area schools we didn't recruit him.

Outlaw is the 1st cousin to the states top QB in 2011 Nick Marshall. In addition, if you'd take time to look at the kids video you'd find out he was Marshall's top target last year. At 6'6 he is quite the athlete. Unfortunately he is heading to prep school so many schools didn't recruit him..........he is a recruiting tool that might just pan out. Come on, use your head for something other than a hat rack.

Dooley will quickly start out-recruiting richt, bank on it. Richt's act at uga is old and out of date. The top players in Ga are going all over the south.

You want a link? Check out www.rivals.com and do your own legwork...I guarantee you everything I posted is a fact per Rivals...

And..for your information...Rogers and Neal signed with UT post-Kiffin and would not have signed here otherwise...

And not signing the #1 player in your state for the last 6 years is a little more than one year of slipping up (i.e. 6 > 1 if you can't figure it out)...

I'm not in this discussion to crunch numbers...I'm only pointing out factual evidence that should show you that UGA has plenty of their own problems on the field and in recruiting....

A UGA homer like you should focus on your own team and not worry so much about a team that's whipped the piss out of you 3 of the last 4 years...

P.S. We also signed Juwann James, the #6 player and #1 OL in your state last year...so once again your "facts" are a little off...maybe @ least get your info straight next time

So signing a lower rated prospect to try to get in good with another is a tactic? Never heard of that one...oh wait...we just did it this year when we pulled the #1 player out of your state...

Regardless...I don't know and don't care to know about UGA's recruiting tactics...you know why....I'm a UT fan....and this is a UT board that you...not I...are trolling...

You telling me to look into UGA reasons for recruiting Outlaw before I make a judgement on him while at the same time blindly bashing Harris is yet another laughable example of what a flaming troll you truly are

Woah, weren't UGA fans heated at us for offering Nance to "get" Rogers. Yet this guy is trying to justify signing Outlaw for the connection to Marshall? Strong hypocrite is strong.

Dude...that's just a small example of how out of touch this cat is...

This cat's like the UGA version of ihateorange4 (the Cock fan)

Lance Thompson loses LB to Auburn, Anthony Swain was being recruited by LT, but Swain commits to Auburn today.

Damn, and somehow we've managed to win 90 games in 9 seasons during our "recruiting slippage." Just wondering here if Tennessee signs their states #1 every yr? Missing on #1 doesn't mean much when your signing 15-20 of your own Top 40. We may lose a few kids along the way but out of our own backyard we can sign a solid class every year.

Have you forgotten that Orgeron had already made contact with Nance and Rogers (behind their HSC's back too) before Kiffin took a hike? Probably met with Neal too.

I was referring to the AJC top 50. Based on those rankings my info is also fact. James was ranked 18th.

Looking at the big picture Uga is 6-4 vs. UT in the last decade. That's a winning record. And I seem to remember kicking the piss out of the Vols a time or two....6 times out of 10 to be exact.

And lucky for you James was "blocked" by your AD or else he be in Athens right now. JJ wanted out.

Lastly, compared to your circus in Knoxville our worries are miniscule.

If I was flaming I'd be banded but somehow you manage to avoid the same fate even though you called me a troll or a homer in several posts. Besides, I've never complained about Dooley offering a 2-star QB in an effort to sign Rogers. The tactic if you will happens throughout college football and has for many years by virtually every school. It is completely within Ncaa rules.

I'm not trolling. I'm confronting. Do you have a problem with confrontation? Some call it debating. And it can be done without the namecalling.

You come to a University of Tennesse message board and throw out nothing but tongue-in-cheek insults about the current state of our program and then have the nerve to pretend it's anything other than flaming...

If your posts didn't have that "we're better than you" overtone (especially considering we've whipped your rear ends 3 of the last 4 years) I'd have a completely differant approach to our discussion...

My point for you is and will remain to be this..

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

You've got more than your share of things to be concerned about...now go on back to your own neck of the woods and discuus those issues with people who give a rat's ass about UGA
