Although we played really really bad. You guys do realize that App. State is ranked higher than tech in the ncaa to 100.

I have a gut feeling we come out of the gate ready to make a statement. Go up 21-0. And cruise to a 38-14 type win. Hope I'm right.

I feel like if our offense gets it together and we find a way to score points, our D will hold them in the second half unlike last year and it could get ugly. On the flip side if we don't click on offense then we will be in for another tough fight and could definitely lose

The NCAA rankings I saw have VT at #44 and Appy St at #50. Seven SEC teams opened with tougher opponents than UT did.

We were a 22-point favorite over #50 and a 10-point favorite over #44. Looks like Vegas has devalued UT for not showing up. Anybody who believes this was an anomaly could make some $.

The Vols will cover easily. I'm not worried about the defense and I don't believe the OL is as bad as it looked.

After Thursday I just don't see us cruising to any victory at the moment, grinding one out in spite of ourselves seems more likely. I hope that I'm wrong, but we've got to be able to put up points, and if the oline come out in the same shape, then God help us.

One thing I liked about our defense Thursday night was a half time adjustment that did not allow Ap State to score the second half.

Shoop is a Defensive guru. Pay him whatever it takes to keep him in Knoxville for a long time.
