FTR, I am all but certain that Chavis was not offered, would not have fit the staff, and would not have accepted if offered. This was an absolute non-starter from the beginning.

Chavis is a good guy - no problem with Coach Chavis.
Good luck to him in the bowl game.

I have a friend that does PR work in the AD and she told me that Chavis has been offered the job and he has accepted the offer but the plan was to deny it all along out of respect for LSU and that they would annouce it after the NC game. Anyone else that has a reliable source heard this or anything like this. I don't know that this girl knows for sure what is going on. Just wondering if anyone else knows this or heard anything like it

Chavis was not offered the job.

Hyams is so bitter at this point, they are using his Fulmer love tears to treat malaria.

Chief will not come back, a friend of a friend of a friend of the family whom is close to the LSU staff said that Chief felt like Tennessee Used to be home but was evicted and left homeless. Enter LSU and it is now home! Also said that Chief would have stayed even with out Fulmer! Thanks Lane your stay is still with us!
