Vols: No chance

Every time we have a positive vibe going and get some media love, we immediately lay an egg and lose momentum and respect.

In 2011, our power O lets a rock-bottom UK team with no QB knock us out of a bowl game.

In 2012, Game Day comes to Knoxville, even Corso picks us to win, we have the game in hand, then quit in the 4th qtr.

In 2013, we let Vandy run all over us and sit home bowl season for the third year in a row.

In 2014, we play UGA to the wire, the heads pick us over UF, we CheckerNeyland and create the most energized environment in football, then just give the game away. Again.

Year after year after year after year, we blow our chances in humiliating fashion. So, yeah, people think we can't seize an opportunity, because for five years now, we haven't.

Trevor Matich simply scoffed (he had this little sh_t eating grin on his face when he said it) when Finebaum asked him if UT had a chance against Ole Miss on his show today. Basically said that we have no chance of winning the game.

In college football anyone can win on any given Saturday, unfortunately, I don't think it applies to UT very often and probably won't this weekend. But I pray to the football gods to please let it be this weekend that we freakin do it just so someone can shove it down that idiot, moron Trevor Matich's throat!

What made me wanna puke was how he went on about how much improved Arkansas and Kentucky is. I wanted to jump through the TV and punch him in the mouth!

He said the same thing before we played Georgia.

Stopped reading at Finebaum.

If UT could get up for Ole Miss the same way they did vs us, a win is within reason. Your O-line is my concern in this game. I'm pulling hard for the East though!

We got a shot at bama, but OLE Miss is hungry, hope there is a big let down after the last 2 weeks, see how good a coach Freeze is, see if he can coach them up, got a feeling he can, all we can do is go out and give it a 100 percent and look at the score board after the final quarter, if we gave it everything we got, I will be proud of them, WIN or LOSE GO VOLS:rock:

None of them. It was just the way he said it. Like it was the dumbest question that he had been asked.

I guess the point is, that I am sick and tired of being so irrelevant that people simply dismiss the notion that we pose a threat to win.

Until this staff actually show improvement n wins we will remain irrelevant...

Only vols fans think improvement is losing by a cpl of points.. Everybody else sees that fla suxs n we sux more.. N if we can't beat them at home with a coach who says he will bring us back.. Well....

All I can say if cbj loses to kent or vandy not one single vn sunshine sheep better have an excuse why cbj should be supported... No freaking way..all support will be gone

Why, Barn?

Someone says something you disagree with and that's how you handle it? Stuff like this plays a role in the South being the laughingstock of the country.

I know you wouldn't punch him in real life, but grow up. I see garbage like this all the time and usually ignore it, but I'm starting to think that's the problem, too many people won't call a spade a spade and the cancer spreads as the offenders interpret silence as tacit approval.

Having said all that, I still fully support your right to say whatever you want, just don't expect everyone to agree or ignore.

Wow. That is a massive overreaction.

I was talking to a fellow Vol fan over here earlier today and we were both pretty bummed out about the game on Saturday.

We actually posed a hypothesis on whether or not the Ole Miss defense would have over or under 7 sacks on Worley. He said he wouldn't be shocked if they had 5 by halftime.

This is the state we are in people and it is sad to admit.

All I know is that if somehow we do win the game, they need to give Jones a contract extension after the game.

The past few years have taught me to hope for the best and expect the worst when it comes to my teams, both in College and Pro Football.

An Arkansas win over Georgia would have the worst team in the west beat the best team in the east. That would be tragic and may happen. More reason for TN to beat Ole Miss and show everyone we are better than critics give us credit. Go Vols!

If you think Arkansas is the worst team in the west, you don't watch football.

All us Vols want to win every game, Every Season. In the real world, I wonder how guys that predict a Vol victory every game/every season would actually bet some cash in Vegas? The Sport-Book operators would love to see you, in fact, given large enough wagers, they'll cover your airfare!!
VolNation, has some very knowledgeable members, those that use analytical thinking skills as it applies to football, and more importantly UT Football, I guess I enjoy reading their posts more than fan boys-but fan boys do have a place, if you're a fan boy, don't get mad at me I think your okay......I'm just saying........

Alabama goes down to Louisiana Monroe, Michigan goes down to Appalachian State. Do you analytical thinkers actually take on a task thinking there is no chance of succeeding? Yes the odds weigh heavy in favor of us not beating Ole Miss. On paper they should blow us out but thank goodness the game will not be played on paper. The fan-boys have hope and at least think that there is a chance. The chance may be slim but the chance is still there. If I didn’t think that was a chance I wouldn’t watch the game.

There's always a chance, but it's just a very slim chance. We're gonna have to play by far our best, mistake-free game of the season and they're gonna have to give us a gift or 2......or 3.

I think most of the posts winning about pundits who are paid for thier attention are ridiculous and getting old. However, I dont like Matich.

I know it would be a small miracle but if you play the game there is always a chance.:baloon:

GO VOLS!

we will lose, but I don't think it will be as bad as some on here are saying with our Defense... if there is some way for us to at least scare Bo a bit, it may result in some turnovers. I have watched all the Ole Miss games this year and our secondary is going to do fine.... as good as they are, he still throws bad passes and hopefully one of those will turn into a turnover... or two....
