Don't think I was watching, but if you're talking about the Auburn game, their secondary is one of the worst.

I did see it, and he lit them up when he came in. He also threw some picks late and their secondary(Auburn) is not very good.

When teams game plan with him as the QB from the beginning it could be different.

He will probably do well, but to think he will do as well as Mallett in his first year starting may be a reach.

All depending on draft prospects and the hold-out situation...
Auburn sans-Newton would be ranked between 18-25 IMO. Same with Arky post-Mallett.
Florida seems about right.
Miss St loses a lot of senior defensive personnel, I think. I see them in the 30's.
Georgia should be 12-16 IMO.
LSU should be 7 or 8.

Important thing is that we're moving up. I think we win 9 and end the season ranked in the top 25.

Meh, we'll see. If they are predicting that Simms is our quarterback then I have a feeling we are severly underrated here.

You got to be joking right?

Alabama stands to lose quite a few players if they should decide to leave early for the draft. Of course, many of the teams up there stand in that position. I do think that the NFL bargaining going on right now will play very heavily into all of that, though.

John Brantley at Florida will be a stud. He has been there a few years now and easily could be the best QB in the SEC next year. He is very talented and has a lot of weapons around him.

Rearrange some stuff...and blammo! You have something that sounds very familiar.

Who does Oregon lose that is significant? James is a soph. I believe.

they lose their go to wr but i dont think they will be relying on the passing game as much with the size and depth of their oline next year

Why aren't we number 1? That's such BS.

Well if thats where they have us ranked with Simms starting, then once they readjust for Bray being the starter we should undeniably be #1 by their standards for these rankings

The only way Auburn sniffs the top ten is if CN comes back but I doubt he will, they lose their entire o line, I say 24 is about right.

I heard Cam called up Chizik with a tearful apology saying he had to go pro. I think his exact words were, "The money's too much."

Waaaaayyyyyy tooooooo early to talk about this. A lot will change before now and then. I could care less what the early bird poll says.

He's a redshirt though.

He's eligible for the draft

Yeah, but they signed one of the best RB's last year in Lache Seastrunk. I think Chip Kelly has that program at the top for the foreseeable future. We all thought they would collapse without Masoli. Instead, they flourished.

Actually I didn't give em much thought. Looking forward to Auburn kicking butt.

#37 is considerable improvement. weren't we ranked 74th last year? a couple of wins we'll be in the top #25

Good to see that USC is ranked behind us and we Hamilton was too afraid to play him. I know it would have helped Kiffin and put his program in the spotlight, but we could use it just as much. The Georgia Dome would have been packed with orange and are players would have been hyped.

Poor decision by Hamilton.

Totally agree, look what it did for BAMA to start the season there, and against higher ranked teams that at least had a chance of post season games. It would have been fun to see ut take on kiffin, would have gotten alot of tv time, espn time, and I read alot on here about the lack of that.

no way in hell I would want to predict where anybody would be ranked NEXT YEAR! smh @ auburn tho, if newton comes back, then maybe, but without him, they're a 7 win team AT BEST
