In Mississippi's win at UF last year, the gators outgained the Rebs by over 100 yds, UF had 319 passing yds on 24 of 38 attempts while OM completed just 9 of 21 for 185. Rushing yards were about even. The difference was in turnovers where OM was +2--Tebow fumbled twice himself. Tennessee doesn't have to be great on offense--Vols must win the turnover battle--AND CONVERT.
A couple of pic-sixes and a mid-air fumble return is the prescription for a Vol win. Tennessee just can't stand toe to toe with the gators and be successful. Kicking field goals won't get it done either.
Ole Miss did catch Florida napping--coming off the big win at UT----That won't be the case Saturday.

agree, they have to turn the ball over 3-4 times, AND we score off of them, coupled with us not giving up any points off our own turnovers

Totally agree. UF had 3 straight UNFORCED fumbles (bad handoffs) on 3 consecutive possessions to start the 3rd quarter. Ole Miss recovered twice, starting drives on the UF 34 and the UF 18. They scored 10 points and tied the game at 17-17. Florida didn't recover until the 4th quarter. And then it was too late.

More agreement here. We need not only for Florida to turn the ball over, but we must take the ball and capitalize on it. UCLA had 6 fumbles and we managed only to pounce on 1 of them. We cannot allow Florida to keep the ball if they put it on the ground or in our player's hands. Couple that with the fact that we must capitalize if/when Florida does turn it over, we can win the game if the breaks do fall right. But, we also cannot turn the ball over basically any and give the Gators any extra possessions because more than likely capitalize on any of our mistakes.

Did you all have some unforced fumbles in the Troy game? I thought I had heard that you had.

Yes, I think just one between Tebow and...Demps? The rest were "forced" (and the excuse of the wet ball :whistling: )

Have to admit, with so many of those fumbles happening early the game, Ole Miss and Appy State were in the back of my mind pretty heavy. Was REAL happy when we stormed back.

I see. Barring several turnovers and subsequent scores for UT, I just don't see any way this is going to be real close.

UT needs heavy rain and 5 turnovers to make this a "game"!
It may get ugly....but the future looks bright.

McCoy: I heard that UT is back in the SEC title hunt, the first time since the 21st Century!
Spock: Fascinating.
Kirk: What's a UT?

UT doesn't simply need three turnovers. The offense will need to capitalize on those turnovers to be effective.

Ole Miss had Jevan Snead....We got Crompton...Big difference...

Now if the Vols get 3 INTs and return them for TDs that could maybe possibly make a difference.....But UT still has Crompton....

In any scenario you try to play in your head you always go "yeah but..we got Crompton."...
