If we win at least eight games, I think we get close to top ten class, if not in the top ten. Here is to hoping we attract so better talent this fall from uncommitted or wavering players. I expect some guys to be asked to "look around" and replaced with better prospects. Still waiting on that stud RB we need.

I think we end up right inside the top 10 or just outside when all the smoke clears. Which is great but will most likely be mid pack in the SEC.

I think we end up Top 5 in the SEC on NSD if we sign a full class. Everyone ahead of us has more recruits committed so they won't be moving as much as we probably will.

It's amazing how so many people can get a nice commitment and immediately fret and say "we still aren't close to SEC team XYZ." in some stupid internet recruiting ranking by guys who sit at their computer desks and watch film of 17 year old football players playing against, in many cases, overmatched competition.

I would say 16th in the country coming off of a 5-7 season and also not being able to sell playing time like the last 2 yrs b/c of current depth would be pretty darn good

but what do i know?

I could careless about rankings. As long as Tennessee gets recruits that match our coaching system and our playstyle, I could careless.

For all the haters, TN could be in 10th place in the nation and still be 6th in the SEC.

Some need to remember this number, 23. It's the number of wins TN has accumulated in 4 years. Any school that can pull a top 15 class, with that many wins, in a state that severely lacks in top football talent, has coaches that know how to recruit.

Getting what done? 8th in the SEC out of 14 teams is below average.

Yeah, because SEC teams are the only teams we are recruiting against in a subjective recruiting race. Give the man his due. Top 20 recruiting class after a 5-7 season isn't that easy to pull off.

I disagree. The school and resources and commitment to football sell itself. We really should never be getting any class rated lower than 20 or it's a major underachievement.
