I still don't understand how we were behind bama last week and had the same amount of 5*, more 4*, and 6 more players overall.

USCe is dead last in the SEC in recruiting..has Spurrier been telling recruits that he might retire soon?

It is only a guess but I have to think that recruits and their parents are smart enough to know that Spurrier is going to retire soon. He may leave after this year or next year. He is about 69 years old and he's running short on quality golfing time.

It's a point system that includes extra points based on being top 100 ect. Plus their four stars could be higher rated four stars than our four stars.

Kensucky is ahead of Candy? Looks like Franklins starting to come back to reality.

Yeah Franklin also wants to know where's Dooley?

Dooley was spotting him all kinds of instate talent.

Butch has got that bit(h on lock down now. Back to sucking Candy!

Not disagreeing but thats how they do it.

aight. On that topic a bit, it's interesting to listen to the names of the linemen when they announce or show starting lineups on sunday/Monday night football. I try to remember if I recall the player from recruiting and many of the linemen seem too be from no name schools.

This is so true. Then if UF starts kind of going south we sell playing time and SEC play to floridas best players.

:ermm:

Bc UT is the only school that has tried that approach with Fla kids. Top talent is always going to flock to UF even with our bad O we still have a Top 2 RB instate committed, the top instate WR this cycle and 2015 and in the Top 2 for Sharpe and lead by a wide margin for Ivey (5* 2015). Lets not even talk about getting talent on D...UF recruits itself no matter who the head coach is.

UF could close this class by adding 4 more 5* players. Never going to worry about recruiting at UF. Coaching is another topic.

I noticed the same thing too. I pointed out to my son. We backed it up and couldn't believe all the no-name schools.

Miami and FSU being good does nothing but help UT in recruiting IMO, that way FL cant cherry pick the great players out of the state of Florida

Muschamp on the hot seat at UF by the end of this season won't hurt either.

I've been trying to figure that out for a while now. Glad it's not just me. After the Hendrix commitment, we have one more 4* than Bama when I checked earlier today.

I'm not on this Jameis Winston is the next coming of Christ train just yet, but FSU is doing a lot of really good things in a lot of areas . I'm guessing most of the real elite Florida talent will be kicking it in Tallahassee or Coral Gables in the immediate and foreseeable future. But yeh, we aren't gonna be stealing what's left from Florida unless they just don't like UF.

Agree. UF looks like they are regressing. Not sure how much longer that fanbase can put up with that horrendous offense.

My thoughts are even though we were beat by UF and UGA it is better to be thought of as a program on the rise vs one that is regressing (Florida) or one that continues to underachieve (Georgia).

Also from a personality standpoint who comes across as someone who will better mold a kids character and you can trust? Must-Scream or CBJ?

People like shiny new things and right now UT is the product that is trending.

Finish season strong winning 3 of next 4 and the buzz will continue. Two back to back top 5 recruiting years will ensure we build depth and can play with anyone.

Be patient boys. 2016 is going to be a great year to be a Vol and we may see a 9 win season in 2015. 2014 with some luck on our side.

Kind of pointless. We have more 4* and 5* than just about all of those schools. We shouldn't be penalized just because we happen to have a lot of 3*s joining them. If anything, the higher quantity makes our class even better.
