The NFL and Pro-football HoF announced the all-2010's team. Eric Berry was selected as a safety, and Cordarrelle Patterson was selected as a return specialist. Was nice to see these Vols selected, especially since almost the entire last decade was way down for the football program.

Here's a hypothetical question for ya: If they lined up in opposite endzones, and Patterson had the ball, what would happen?

Way to go, gentlemen

Now, that was 2 entertaining Vols to watch right there! Wish we could have had CP around for a year or 2 more just for the highlight reels.

Ton Brady was just a system quarterback. Without Bill Belichick, Tommy Boy would be pumping gas in Flint, Michigan. He'll be looking like Tommy Tebow this fall.

Peyton is the GOAT. He needs to QB this all decade team!

I mean, Peyton only played 4 full seasons in the decade. He did get 4 Pro-bowl appearance, but missing out on 5.5 years in the decade is impossible to overcome. Brady for instance had 9 pro-bowls and about 115 more TD's in the same time span because he played much more.

Had he actually passed classes? It might have been in his best interest. Or so I heard.

Say what you will. I love Peyton too. But the number of Super Bowl ring each led their teams to is undeniable.

Patterson would make a cut and Berry would grab at air. But if EB got a chance at a solid shot, Patterson might need a cast. I thought Berry was going to Break Rohan Davies' Leg with those shots he was dishing out in the SEC Championship game back in the day.

That wasn’t the same SEC Championship game, but I’ll take EB over just about anyone anyday.

I'm not too sure he ever intended to care. Good for him we didn't make a bowl that yr and he get banned from it. Same here as far as what has been reported.

don't hurt when you (Brady) know what the defense plans are in detail..but who cares about that stuff?

and fluffs his own balls which is not only against the rules, but will come out in the near future.

After Boston gets thru with Tommy Boy, in comparison, Pete Rose will look like a saint.

Berry doesn't get within 5 yards of him.

Berry ran a 4.47 at combine.

Cp ran a 4.42.

Sounds very close but the difference between cp and berry though is cp can hit top speed stop and hit top speed again faster than almost anyone I have ever seen.

He is both fast and quick.

Deion Sanders and cp would be a great match up if it was tag and not tackle lol.

LOL...nearly every QB gets the balls like they want them Rogers admitted he liked them over-inflated. There's a reason why no QB's spoke up about this.

yeah, but if Berry's objective is only to keep him out of the end zone, he doesnt have to force himself close to Patterson. Patterson has to find a way by Berry. it'd be like defending someone in basketball knowing that theyre not going to shoot, but only drive. you can just contain the field, make him pick which way he's going, and force him to sideline. I think it'd be close

I have all the respect in the world for Patterson as an athlete. He was a freak, one of the best athletes to grace the Knoxville campus. But suppose he had a WR coach that taught him to run accurate pass routes his senior year consistently. How much greater would his NFL career be? Without him? UT might have had their first 4-8 season under Dooley.

I think you're making it sound a lot easier than it actually is.

well, give it a shot then. the reason i set up the question was because it could be debated and i dont have an answer because it's close.
I think if they're both running at each other full speed, CP can juke him and be off to the races. Don't go towards a sideline just go right down the middle of the field.

I was always partial to this one.

Caution, rap music with some language, turn down if you or anyone nearby will be offended...

EB was special from day one. From what I understand, he's a free agent and wants to get back on the field. I would love the Titans to pick Him up.

why would a defender ever be full speed running at someone coming at him?
