A friend of mine has started a Facebook page called "Vols Love Jax." There is a little boy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital named Jax, age 2 1/2, who is affected by a very rare autosomal recessive disorder called Hurler Syndrome. According to my friend Alana, Jax is a huge UT fan and is nearing the end of his time on Earth. Alana has asked me and a bunch of her other friends to post pics on this Facebook page wearing our UT orange and holding a sign that says "Vols Love Jax!" to show some love and support to Jax and his family. I thought I could help out a little further by bringing the task to the Vol Nation family.

If you want to participate, just go to your Facebook page, type in "Vols Love Jax" in the search box at the top of the screen, and it will take you to the page. You can see where this is already caught on amongst the team and our coaches, as CBJ, Jalen Hurd, and several other of our coaches and players have already heard about this and we got to participate. Please help show this sweet little boy and his family some love and support, Don your orange and white, and take a pic of yourself to post on the page with your "Vols Love Jax" sign.

I believe there is also a Twitter campaign going to trend #VolsLoveJax as well.

Side note: my friend Alana is a huge Bama fan. I Believe that actions like this truly show how love and compassion for others can transcend petty things such as our "allegiances" to our favorite teams. :clapping:

Here is a link to his story:

That's my hope, I want this family and this sweet little boy to see an outpouring of love and support from so many people they don't even know, that it will completely blow their minds! God is good!

I have a 2 year old little boy that I love more than the air I breath, so this story breaks my heart.

My biggest/worst daily fear is something happening to my children.

I hurt for the parents of Jax while reading the story.

My prayers are with Jax and his family.

Supersmo, this Jax wouldn't be from Kingsport, TN would he?

Never mind. He's not the same Jax that I know that is at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. A friend of mine is going through the same thing with his son Jax. His son has a degenerative brain disorder. We did a charity run last year to help raise money for his medical bills. Prayers coming for both Jax's!

I'm not sure, I don't know him. My friend Alana who's been organizing this movement has a daughter whose been battling a brain tumor, and they've been in and out of that saw hospital for a long time now.

God Bless little Jax and his family, the tough fight he's fighting make any problems I may face look pale in comparison.
