Does anyone think that this will be the last seasons for Jerod Mayo, Ramon Foster, Arian Foster, Anthony Parker, Demonte Bolden, Robert Ayers, Kenny O'Neal?

I hope that we have several with seasons that would justify an early departure for the NFL. However, at this point - based on what we have seen to date - I think that Mayo is the only realistic candidate.

If every one of these players come back, we will be ranked in the top 5 at the start of the 2008 season. Mayo will be a beast this year and hopefully next. McCoy will be All-SEC next year. Donald will be the best blitzing LB in the SEC next year as a soph. Bolden should be All-SEC next year. Eric Berry may be All-American next year. McKenzie is the next Gibril Wilson. Colquitt will be All-American next year. The number 1 tailback unit in the nation next year will be Tennessee with Coker, Foster, Hardesty, and Creer. Crompton should be solid. Kenny O'Neal will be All-SEC next year as a senior. McNeil will be All-American, Scott, R. Foster will be All-SEC. 2008 is going to be the best team since 01.

Ultimately, I think Mayo will be like J. Allen and want to come back for his senior season for 2 rings. By the way, the last time a Bartholomew was a freshman at fullback was 1998. That is a good omen.

O'neal? That would be surpising. can you think of a single juco player that has gone pro after one season?

IMO a player would need to at least be All-SEC last season, to believe they are ready go early to the NFL next season. I don't believe any of these players were.

I don't think any of these players will make anyone's preseason All-SEC team, except possibly Mayo. Your expecting a big improvement in these players next season.

It could happen. He certainly has the talent and speed to do so.

yeah but it usually takes at least a half a season for a juco guy to really get going. It would be very impressive for him to have the numbers to justify going pro.

Ya, I doubt he will go pro. I'm just saying he has the tools to do so.

I think this post is the perfect real life example of hogwash.

Eric Berry hasn't played a single snap of college football, yet he may be All-American? I guess you're right, because every D-1A player MAY be an All-American. O'Neal hasn't played at UT yet, but you say he WILL BE. I was actually one of the first couple people to start pimping O'Neal on this board, but I won't say he'll be All-SEC for sure.

I think you may have went a little overboard with the optimism.

Mayo is the only possible that I can think of, but it would take a lot. A 1st team All-American type of season.
