Vols Lead All Teams With 5 Drafted

There were several tied at 4, but none had 5 as far as I know.

This is how the Conferences Broke Down:

SEC- 21
Non BCS Conferences/Other Divisions- 20
Big Ten- 16
ACC- 14
Pac-10- 12
Big 12- 10
Big East- 4
Notre Dame- 3

In the paper today, Fulmer said that kids come to Tennessee to go to the NFL because their skills and work ethic will have already been learned. He said something like, "There may be better athletes at other schools, but they weren't coached as well as our kids."

Yeah, they just don't learn to win at UT. The recent shortage of "magic dust" has cost us immeasureably.

How many of the guys drafted today won a championship? If you choose to live in 1998, you're among the portion of the fan base who deserves a lifetime of trips to Atlanta, Tampa, and Shreveport.

Can't we just be happy for the drafted players. Honest to God, there's no winning with some of you. We get 5 players drafted on the first day and all of sudden we should have won Championships every year they were there.

On the other hand, if Tennessee put 0 in the draft, it would be a different kind of whining.

Some of these people are unbelievable.

Grown men really shouldn't go around calling people names. It only makes them look immature and simple.

It's a real shame that it has come to this. Tennessee leads all schools in players drafted and the "Tennessee fans" can't be happy about it.

Makes you wonder who really is a fan, and who is just around to stir the pot.

well, to be honest, if we hadn't had a player drafted, at least I'd see a logical reason for a lack of championships around here...It's just frustrating to see our players evaluated by NFL scouts, and see them picked more often than players from any other team. Clearly we have talented football players - just no championships to show for it.

I'm happy for Harrell, Meachem, Sears, McBride, and Wade...I'm proud to see them drafted so high...I'd just like to know what it feels like again to be proud of a championship team.

Corey Anderson comes to mind. I think Marvin Mitchell will also make a good pick for someone in the 5th or 6th rounds.

Swain and Smith are available...most likely free agents.

Yup, Anderson and Mitchell are the only likely 2 left. Swain and Ligon are in the top 500 rated prospects. Smith, Wilhoit, etc weren't.
