How many elite QBs are there in a class? Getting this kid in early helps us recruit other elite players. I know ppl are a little on the fence on the 8 million but this is 2 million per year of what Sprye planned to be a 25 million per year budget; that’s like 8% of the budget on arguably the most important player in the class.

8 million over 4 years was the rumor. Spyre apparently wants to be in the 25 million dollar range annually, so I think we're fine there.

That means they’ve still got another 23 to spend. This is wild if true Tennessee is about to become the Dallas Cowboys pre salary cap

You land the QB first though. This year there’s 3 five stars and this kid is the best fit for Heupel’s offense. Once you land him and the publicity of that 8 million dollars helps recruit every other position on the field. Sprye still has 23-28 million to work with.

I would imagine he’s likely already signed with Sprye but who knows. I mean seriously are you leaving 8 million dollars on the table to wait to see if Oregon is going to beat it? Also a lot of programs likely knew what this kid was getting; they could’ve beat the offer if they had chosen. This leaked to the press, does anyone believe that wasn’t intentional?
