We were his first SEC offer after having a ton of interest from NE and Midwest schools. His junior highlights are impressive. He appears to be strong and athletic. He's being held on just about every snap, but still making one spectacular play after another. I think other programs will come after him hard. I hope we can hold onto him.

1. He’s from New Jersey. Where you’re from impacts your rankings and since he’s not from a southern school that hurts him. A lot less competitive high school ball up there.

2. He’s kind of rough around the edges at this point. Apparently his form and stance need some work. That’s ok, since we’ve got the staff and resources to help him along pretty quick. In hindsight, that’s probably what led him here.

3. He was leaning towards Penn State at some point. Also had an offer from USCjr and Nebraska I think.

I think he’ll enjoy some success here just based on his athleticism(runs a 4.6 40) but it might take him a while to become a real contributor. Rodney Garner will know what to do with him.
