Thought it might be a good idea to keep a running thread of updates for Vols in the NFL.

The Detroit Lions acquired two cornerbacks today. They finalized a trade for Atlanta’s Chris Houston and signed Jonathan Wade to a one-year deal.

Wade, 25, spent the past three years with the Rams, who drafted him in the third round in 2007, when Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan was their head coach. He is listed at 5-10, 198. He has played all but one game in his three seasons, with six starts and two picks. The Rams did not make him a qualifying offer as a restricted free agent.
