Johnny Majors will be at the Fox Sports Grill in Atlantic Station on September 20th.

Off topic has anyone heard any updates on Eddrick Lofton's status for eligibility this year? Thanks....

That's my understanding. If anyone knows different, please let us know. I live in Atlanta and would love to go see Johnny.

Speaking of Vols in Atl.... I know many used to meet at Rio Grande to watch the games. Does anyone know where people will meet now that the bar is closed and now Buckhead Saloon?
I used to could walk there and would hate to have to drive now.

I would try Kramer's in Buckhead. It's within walking distance of the old Rio Grande, and I've heard from several people that it's owned by a UT alum. We actually meant to start going there last year for games, just b/c the food and service were so terrible at Rio Grande. I'm not too upset to see that place go...

I was at Fox Sports Grille yesterday for lunch and my waiter showed me the sign at the front of the restaurant that lists all of the coaches that will be at there this year. He made no mention of being a member of a club to attend, he just said come on out if you see someone there you want to meet. Also said that all of the UFC pay-per-views are shown there for free, so I dont think you have to be a member of a particular group to get in.

I'll be moving to Atlanta in a few weeks and I don't know the area at all, but it's good to know there will be some fellow Vol fans. If anyone ever wants to get together somewhere and watch a game let me know because I won't really know anyone down there and I'd love to meet some other Vol fans. Also, I was thinking about trying to go to the game in Georgia when the Vols play there. Does anyone know if I'll be able to find tickets for a reasonable price, or am I just better trying to go to a bar or watch it at home? Thanks in advance. GBO!!!

You're better off going to Knoxville for a game...it's only about 3 hours. What part of town are you moving to?

btw...you are going to find that UGly fans are annoying and extremely unpleasant to live with.

UGA people act like getting admitted to Georgia is like getting admitted to Harvard or something. Plus, they are delusional about sports. It's pretty fun to razz them at parties.

I'm moving to Midtown and I've heard how bad UG fans are, so thats why I was hoping there'd be some fellow Vol fans there too.

I live in Midtown. There used to be an alumni group that met at Jocks & Jills on the corner of 10th and Peachtree. Not sure where they went after that "restaurant" imploded. But there is definitely an alumni group somewhere. I met some nice people through them.

The Taco Mac on Peachtree in Midtown is a pretty good place to watch football. Lots of big TVs and good wings.

If you want to get together for a game sometime, just let me know.

Thanks for the advice. I have no idea what Jocks and Jills was because I've never been to Atl a day in my life, but I'll have to check out Taco Mac. I'd def want to try to get together sometime, there's nothing better than watching the Vols with fellow fans.

I live in inman park and would love to meet up at taco Mac or Hudson grille on peachtree. I usually just go there and find some tennessee fans. Meeting at jock and Jills was much better than rio grande. Its time to get a group in midtown again.

If you look on the atl ut alum assoc. Website it says the alum assoc will be watching the games at jack's bbq on colier at the howell mill plaza. Doesn't sound as good as rio grand. Wonder how many people will go to buckhead saloon thinking the venue hasn't changed..

I'd love to get a group together in Midtown. Like I said, I'm going to be new to the area and won't know anyone and I probably won't be able to make every game because I'll have to work some Saturdays, but the days I don't have work, you better believe I'll be supporting the Vols with anyone who wants to join me. GBO!!!

Man, I'm not that enthusiastic about getting in my car and going up to Howell Mill. That severely limits the number of pints I can drink during the game. There has to be a convenient place in Midtown, the Highlands or L5P where people could get together and then walk home... if necessary. :)
