Update from Cedar Rapids: we had a Midwest hurricane last night, and the game got postponed to today. I caught up with Drew Beam in the meantime. Hunter was standing on the sidewalk in front of my hotel (also the team hotel, apparently) when I got back; and he said, “Billy Amick is picking me up; do you want to talk to him?” Yes, yes I do. When I go see our guys playing in the pros, I buy a hat for their team and ask them to sign it. So, I’m now 3 for 3 on my hat autographs for the weekend but forgot to get a pic with Bill and haven’t seen any of my guys play baseball yet. Hopefully I’ll have some action shots for you after today’s DH.

You most likely experienced a minor derecho. It comes with straight line winds that can be as powerful as a tornado or hurricane.

Double header last night was HOT, but at least I finally got to see Hunter play! His team lost both games, unfortunately. They had some crazy fielding issues similar to those the Vols experienced from time to time this past season. Hunt hit an RBI single in his first AB and made a spectacular diving catch in the first game. He also broke two bats in 3 ABs. Not much great to report from the second game. Happy to have had these few days with our dudes.
