Good quote about Jamal, but still only 7 rbs have ever reached the 2000 yd milestone.I started this same topic a while back. Tennessee has a lot of guys who are close, but not quite HOF material due to lack of longevity and, in some cases, injury. Eric Berry was a lock before injuries and cancer derailed his career.
I think Lewis is the closest, and may get in, but it would be by an inch. The 2000 yard season helps, but lack of longevity hurts. Arian Foster would also be close, but likely not in. He did win an NFL rushing title or two.
I think Stanley Morgan should be in. At the time he retired, he was about fifth and all-time receiving yards. Yes, he has been pushed down the list since then because offenses have changed. If he hadn’t played for the Patriots when they were really bad, he would be in by now. But if he hadn’t been inducted by now, he likely never will be.
Anthony Miller is another who had a really good career, but not quite enough with bad Chargers teams (and QBs) to get in.
Jason Witten is a lock, of course.
That will depend on the voters. Cordarrelle is a player who does a lot of things well, and Hall of Fame voters in any sport tend to focus on players who had one central skill and were dominant in it. He was a great kick returner, and a good running back and a good wide receiver. That should put him in, but if they just focus on what he did returning kicks and not his whole game, that probably won't get him elected.Cordarrelle Patterson is a lock for the HOF
Neither his WR play nor RB play will be much of an added benefitThat will depend on the voters. Witten is the all time receiving leader for NFL TEs. He’s a slam dunk no doubt first ballot HOFer.Witten -Yes. Didnt really have a HOF type peak but compiled to the point where he shouldnt have issue getting in eventually.
Kamara - Not happening. Hall of Very Good. If he plays at this level to 35, we can revisit.
Patterson - Not happening. Hall of Very Good
All other retired - If it was to happen, it would have already
Trey - Very good but hasnt shown HOF type peak yet. Highly unlikely but 8-10 more yrs at very good level plus Chiefs winning a ton might be enough.

Kamara has a shot. He needs another couple of productive seasons. But he’s not in yet.
