Wish Alabama let us get UT plates, but also wish Tennessee didn't let people get Alabama or Florida plates is what I was really getting at.

It's :censored: that I can't get a UT plate in Alabama. Do they really think that no one would buy them, or are they more afraid that too many people would buy them? What I do know is that they would sell a lot more UT plates than they do UNA or Jax St. plates, thus raising more revenue, which should be the real issue.

Curious. What's the "share the road" plate?

It has a mountain bike on it or something like that, and it says "share the road". It's basically a reminder to be courteous to cyclists, which is probably lost on the road raging crazies down here. Most Atlanta drivers seem to have a personal vendetta against people on bikes.

NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE VOLS TO CLAIM OUR PART OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA !!!
Announcing, the coming of the "POWER T " license plates!
I'm sure you've been stuck in traffic and noticed that little red and black bulldog face on the license plate in front of you. Or maybe the black and gold GT (that stings!). Over the past few months, you've probably even noticed a few burnt orange and navy AU logos, as well. Well, now we will be able to officially establish the "Vol Nation" here in Georgia with the BIG ORANGE " POWER T " on your license plate! Our time has come!

This is your chance to become a charter member of the University of Tennessee " POWER T " license plate program. The UT National Alumni Association - Atlanta Chapter has agreed to handle all up front responsibilities for the first 1,000 applicants. After we reach this goal of 1,000 applicants, UT fans will need to individually apply through the Department of Motor Vehicles to receive their plates. However, we will do our best to accommodate additional applicants for a short period of time.

Follow the link to the Atlanta Alumni site for details
UT License Plates

If I have signed up within the last year, do I need to sign up again?

Here is the application. We are up to about 700. We should be able to get to 1000. Auburn, FSU, Florida and Clemson all managed to do it. Let me know if the attachment did not make it.

Base on the information given to me you do not have to sign up again if you have already done it. I am just one other person who has signed up. I have applied for two and just want to be done.

The cyclists in the ATL want respect and go to great lengths to say that they do not get it.
The FIRST cyclist that I see obey the same traffic laws that cars have to obey, will get my respect.
I live along the Chattahoocee where it is cyclist heaven and have to deal with the SOB's daily.

This was started about ten years ago and did not go anywhere. I never got my money back nor did anyone else I asked. Hope it makes this time and I will buy a plate at the courthouse. The alumni office in Knoxville could really help the cause by notifying all the people in Georgia that this is taking place. After it fizzled the last time I bet I had 20 people tell me that if they had known they would have sent their money....Good luck.

We still don't have any UT tags in Virginia either. It's ridiculous considering that there are schools such as Florida State and Wake Forest, but no Tennessee.

its crappy to see the VT plates! i hate VT with a passion, right behind bama and florida. i would love to have some UT plates here in VA.

I've been on the list for over a year. We finally got enough sigs, and my tag renewal is in July. I will be sporting a Power "T" in the ATL soon. I love it! It's about time!

I'm working on it. Just need to find the right person over at UT to collect the money. VA requires all applications be submitted at one time with 1 check. I'd do it but I'm not sure people want to send a random person $25
