My wife and I are traveling to Atlanta this weekend to watch the PGA Championship at East Lake. I was wondering if anyone knows where we might be able to watch the game on Saturday night. We're staying at the Residence Inn downtown, so anything within walking distance would be really nice. Thanks for any help in advance. Go Vols!

Stats is pretty nice.

Agreed. We were in Atlanta last weekend for a Braves game and caught the Florida game on TV. Really nice place, decent food and service, and smoke free. It's right next to the aquarium.

I was reading about it and I saw where someone said they have a dress code and don't allow hats. Is this true? Not that it's a big deal, but coming from a day at the golf course I'll probably have some pretty nappy hat hair.:)

Was down there last week as well and went to Del Taco(I think that's the name of it). Had a pretty good TN crowd in it. I think they are all over ATL

I think you might be referring to Taco Mac. Even if you are not, I would highly recommend it. I was interning in ATL in the spring, and we went there for the National Championship Game. Great environment, great food. I actually liked it more than Stats (Granted, at Stats you can get your own tap at your table, so you can always have cold beer at the ready).

Whew, after reading the title I thought you were suggesting we would be playing in the SEC championship game. LOL Maybe in a couple years though.

This :eek:k: Great environment, no dress code, and every kind of beer you could want. There's one attached to phillips arena behind the CNN center

Given the limited PPV availability of this game in Atlanta, I would strongly advise you to go to Rio Grande on Roswell Road in Buckhead and watch with the alumni.

...But I would TOTALLY call Stats first and see if they are showing the game. Simply the best sports bar on the planet. You can reserve a table with your own tap. Also, I have been there in jeans and a hat before and got zero lip about any dress code.

Enjoy Eastlake, but do not leave any valuables in you car! :)

If you are a hardcore golfer, you simply must visit the grave of Bobby Jones in Oakland Park Cemetery on Memorial Drive.
