Pearson hasn't really had a chance to showcase his skills. UFA
If healthy and he runs under 4.5, North will probably go in a middle round.
Kerbyson will get a good long look because of his versatility. UFA
If no medical concerns, McNeil might go in a late round.
Too bad about all the injuries. Maggitt UFA
Randolph may get a boost by Justin Coleman. Late round prospect but most likely UFA
Williams will make a good DE prospect. He'll get Mayock's attention in the weight room. Late round possible.

And who would've thought or predicted that Justin Coleman would start for the Patriots, and be playing next week to potentially go to a Super Bowl...?

Nobody on this board and least of all me. But he's not only starting but has been playing lights out!

I think Curt will get drafted 4-6. He has to much talent not to get drafted, yes injuries are a question but when healthy the dude is a beast. North will not be drafted. Mcneil will get drafted, Kerbyson won't get drafted, Williams will get drafted probably the highest. Pig will probably get drafted by the patriots, he is their perfect back.

The fact that Justin Coleman started for the Patriots as a rookie shows how little I know about what guys will make it in the league.

Near the end of the 6th at that. Crazy how so many missed on him.

I'm too young to remember him in college. Can anyone explain how this happened? How did he end up going so low?

Cause after starting his Jr year, he was in a dogfight for half a season with Drew Henson, and finally was
named the starter in game 7 or 8. His Orange Bowl performance against Bama should have put him in
first 3 rounds, but he didnt look the part, and may still hold the record for the slowest 40 time for a QB.
Whats really baffling are the 6 guys that were taken before Brady, and one of them was Tee Martin.

They didn't value his on-field production at Michigan which included some great comeback drives/wins his last 2 seasons....Michigan was 20-5 with Brady as a starter. This was also true of Brady's head coach at Michigan Lloyd Carr, who oftentimes seemed to be trying to replace Brady as the starter (with Drew Henson) despite him proving to be a winning QB when he played.

NFL teams also over valued his poor measurables and "soft physique" at the combine.

BTW, UT Pro Day is Wednesday at 11:00AM EST and will be on the SEC Network/WatchESPN and concurrently running with South Carolina's
Pro Day. I haven't seen a list of participants, if anybody has one please post it here or in a new thread.

What? Compared to whom?

Brain Randolph will get drafted. Very good mobility and physical. Straight line speed is 4.6 range.

Pearson and North will be drafted.

Compared to D4H

He believes when some talk about Paul Bain, they are talking about him.

Also proves that Coleman wasn't getting coached up or getting his full potential brought out by Martinez and cJJ. Martinez will never be confused as being a great DB Coach. He is a really good recruiter but the secondary took a step back when Martinez didn't have Terry Fair there to help and teach the basic fundamentals. Luckily Shoop is a secondary guy and can help improve our secondary play. Martinez was one of those Coach's I wouldn't have minded seeing go. Outside of recruiting he doesn't bring much to the table when it comes to coaching and developing his secondary players.

Yes, also heard that Pig Howard will be working out at the pro day as well. Glad to see it and wish he could've stayed in good standing for the entire season. He was one of my favorites.

He started in two games during the year (Miami and Washington) and played some in nickel situations. He has gone a lot further than many (including myself) thought he would.

Randolph and McNeil are barely SEC caliber athletes let alone NFL. Both will be lucky to get camp invites.

The vols with the best chance of getting drafted are: Marquez North, Curt Maggitt, Pig Howard, and Owen Williams.

I think most of this board is dead wrong on Randolph. He has been a very good SEC safety for years and I think he will make a very good NFL safety. That pro day 40 time will open some eyes and he will go around the 3rd round and be a more than capable NFL starter early in his career

I know this isn't the proper forum and for this, with that being said, I've gotten into listening to motivational speakers inan effort at self improvement. I've been following Eric Thomas for quite a while. I was listening to one of his broadcasts the other day and he brought on a guest speaker. None other than Inky Johnson. Being die hard UT I "know" who Inky and what happened to him during his career here. I never knew his backstory ! Just incredible ! His journey ! What he had to overcome, or chose to overcome I should say, is a testament to him and the human spirit ! He has such passion ! I encourage anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to listen to that man speak, please do so ! It will enrich you like you couldn't imagine !! #GBO

I admire Inky as much as anyone here. That being said, it is not the topic at hand. So if you want to talk about it, start a thread on it instead of disrupting another thread with it.
