"We reported 2 weeks ago that Derek Dooley interviewed former Memphis wide receivers coach Darin Hinshaw while at LA Tech. We heard Dooley was close to hiring Hinshaw before Dooley ended up accepting the head coaching job at Tennessee. We hear Hinshaw could be the next assistant to join the Tennessee staff."

Vols hire former Memphis/MTSU assistant Darin Hinshaw as assistant coach

Hinshaw, 37, coached receivers at Memphis for the last three seasons, and was a quarterback at UCF.

This is TENNESSEE not LA TECH!

Get ready guys, this staff is a joke. 3 years and he is gone. Hamilton will also be gone.

My stomach is in knots right now. How did we fall so far???

His bio says he's co-offensive coordinator for Mid Tenn St. They said he was promoted from runningback coach. Guessing that's what he'll be here. Says he recruits North Florida.

So... are we just not going to hire anyone that can recruit? I guess Dooley, Chaney and Thompson are going to do all of the work. They better prove they can win because these guys will show up in recruits living rooms and they will have no clue who they are. Their resumes will say Mid Tenn and LaTech.

And maybe if we're lucky folks like you will be gone as well.
