Bama comes to town a 17 pt favorite and can probably cover the spread if Saban doesn't hold back on his former assistant. I must approach this game with the knowledge that the deck is stacked---we have no depth and bammer is loaded. Kinda shapes up like a 3rd Saturday back when the Tide owned the Vols in the 70's and 80's. This won't be pretty to watch, fellers. Here's a toast to better days ahead----hopefully. Chug Chug.

It's college football, and anything can happen.

That being said, I do think Alabama beats us by 2 TD's.

LSU was a 16.5 point favorite and we saw how that turned out .. What was the point favor last year against Bama ? And we saw how that turned out .. What was Bamas point favor against SCAR? .. Its the SEC, anything can happen on any given weekend.

If only we had fired Fulmer after 2004 so we could have gotten Spurrier.

We'd wax Bama.

See, I don't think 2 TD's would be all that bad if the score was 35-21. At least we would put up some points and show some life.

I think it's far more likely to be 20-6.

Perception is everything.

I am not sure that a single Vol fan comes into this game with great expectations... but what on earth compelled you to state such an obvious downer? Do you think folks are too optimistic about this game or something?

Good thing we are playing at Neyland because I am sure you would be right that we would have no shot AT bama.

Anything can happen at night at Neyland..

They haven't had a bye week. Ut just did. I don't think ut is going to win, but I think Alabama is banged up enough that they don't have the motor to blow ut out. I don't think Alabama covers.

Actually I have talked to quite a few that think Tennessee can win.

I may be the most intentionally hopeful person here... and I'd place UT's chances something south of 10%.

I think there's a chance that UT can have some offensive success vs Bama due to Dareus injuries and their secondary play. But I am not sure if there is a DC alive who could develop a scheme with UT's players to stop Bama's running game.

If Wilcox does it then he will have answered a lot of doubts I continue to have about his ability to coach vs the SEC.

There's a reason they play the game. Is Alabama better? Absolutely. Gotta wait til the game's over though.

The seeds of this azz whipping were sown by Phillip Fulmer....eh, the Vols will fight hard and I really think they make this a game we will be proud to watch....really!!!!!

Kool-Aid or Reality Juice...got em both here, just not sure which one to drink.

Could have sworn we lost those two games.
