UT Vols: Owner of Knoxville bar Casual Pint Northshore faces backlash

Some University of Tennessee Vols fans are calling for the boycott of a West Knoxville bar whose owner tweeted Sunday "Tennessee is so messed up" and he hopes they never win another football game in the SEC.

Chris Owens, owner of the Casual Pint Northshore, made the statement amid a heated controversy over UT's consideration of Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano for head football coach.

I think it's important to point out that this is Casual Pint NORTHSHORE. I personally know that the Maryville crew is awesome and Vol-loving. I would hate to see their local business suffer because of a misunderstanding.

For the life of me, I will never understand why business owners choose to isolate their customer base. You can disagree with your customers...even have a rational conversation disagreeing with your regulars, as you visit with them....

but to isolate an entire community.

That is too funny.

Wonder what his thought process was as he posted that? Did he not just see a guy lose a 4mil plus job due to backlash from a fanbase that is just raring to prove their abilities to speak with one voice?

Oh well, I don't live near enough to him to visit but if i did i might hang a funeral wreath on his door. An orange and white one...

Reiterating what is already said, Casual Pint is a franchise. To my knowledge, he only owns the Northshore location. I'm in Maryville all the time and their store is run by good people from all accounts.
