Vols Going with Nike

I didn't mind UT being Adidas but pretty excited about the switch. I definitely prefer Nike gear to anything else.

Also being a Nike employee will have it's perks after the switch :)

I have friends all over the country that have sons that are future big time prospects. One just committed to Ohio State as a freshman. He is a highly ranked qb, his dad told me last year when they visited UT.."He will never come here unless they switch to NIKE." You would be surprised at how many times I have heard this in the last 3 years. It doesn't matter what us old guys like, we are targeting teenagers.I know 1 2014 UTcommit that has used NIKE's all his life and is glad UT changed.

I call BS on everything that is in bold

have a link link to any of those claims?

Outside of the better money the other is proven in the product. But like DeerPark had said it isnt about the money and would accept less from Nike. But I will triple what I buy from Nike over the godawful fangear Adidas makes. Shoes is a different story, i hate Nike and Adidas shoes. I prefer New Balance and UnderArmour when it comes to shoes. I actually prefer everything UnderArmour but will buy a ton of Nike Vol stuff. And their hats are no comparison. Hate Adidas hats and visors. Just my personal preference, other prefer Adidas or whoever.

so Nike vs adidas vs UA is the difference between a 5* or a 4* or no recruit period ?I doubt that.

Fulmer 08', Kiffin, and Dools all agreed with Hammy to recruit only Adidas, but Butch started recruiting Nike for 14'. Can you not tell the difference! Too lazy to find the link. :loco:

Apparel wise, Nike and Adidas are very similar. On field/court is a completely different story. That's coming from a college athlete that has worn both. Nike is more comfortable.

There is no link, just telling you the conversations I have had personally with kids and parents. Like I said, we are tageting teenagers. I know my son loves UT no matter what they wear, but I also know he prefers NIKE over any other brand. Marshall County is a NIKE school. That's what we all wear. I am not agreeing with the kids, it is just how it is.If you need to puke go ahead.
Cool, I know a bunch of recruits that like Adidas. Now what?

Must be legit. Since we had heard this before, I'm sure most of VN can understand my skeptical reaction. I guess it's not a big shock when you think about where AD Hart has been, Florida State and Bama. They have been Nike schools for as long as most of us can remember, and I assume he still has several contacts within that company.

Instead of watching game film, new recruits watch Fashion Runway film

that will be on their OV. the he11 with the facilities and stadium and education. lets get to the fashion show.

by the way I hate Nike shoes....love adidas though. very comfortable.

DP do you know any details to the deal yet, or are ya still learning? I just hope this doesn't end up biting us in the rearend in the long run, and us having to settle with what Nike gives us instead of having a say in uni designs.

Ain't skeered... I'm for whatever Nike designs for us. We need some excitement around here and if the kids like it, I'm all for it! :dance2:
