Most of my friends say we will lose at least 2 games because of our QB situation....but I think we can do better. I was just wondering what you guys think will be our finishing record next football season?

we should lose between two and four games with a possibility of a fifth. That being said I think three is the most likely number.

11-1 baby! Woooo. Clawson's offensive acumen will bring us to a level we haven't seen since the mid to late 90's.

Based on our past results I will guess we have 3 losses. But the 11-1 thing I put up there... I wouldn't shoot it down either. Dave Clawson has my trust to run this offense.

Realistically, 10-2 or 9-3.

If Ben Martin and Donald Langley prove to be world beaters and Gerald Williams makes an impact 11-1

If we stumble out of the gate, look for 4 or 5 losses. But I think if they come out fast and dominate the first couple of games we have a legit shot at a 0 or 1 loss season.

Get your hopes up. Everything is right in the world right now, why can't football be?

Well....I hope we go 12-0....I am just think that 8-4 is the most reasonable prediction.

Maybe this team has a 10-2 or 11-1 type season buried deep down, but Justin is 100% correct. It would require incredible effort from guys with very little D1 experience, along with much fewer injuries than we have had over the last few years.

I continue to believe that Fulmer thinks he has something up his sleeve. Maybe he will pull the rabbit out of the hat. Only time will tell.

Agree. After our first couple of games we should have an idea. It will be interesting to see if this team will be special or just another descent football team. We haven't had a special football team in a long time. I can't wait to find out.

Predictions for 2008:

More balanced offense but still not a dominant running team. Playmakers make for some exciting runs after the catch in the passing game.

Still no SEC caliber defensive line, still "coverage busts" in the secondary, and unfortunately Eric Berry is only one man.

Overall, looks to be a solid team returning, but the SEC, and the East in particular, is just too tough.

8 - 4, maybe 9 - 3. Another Outback, Cotton, or Peach Bowl visit.

We will be a lot better than anyone thinks...

Right now nobody thinks we will be a contender, for whatever reason thats what makes UT football tick. That is when we are the most motivated. I think CPF can motivate better when its the "us against the world" mentality

.......The believers will come VN. They'll come to Knoxville for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up the driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at the door as innocent as children, longing for the past. People will come VN. Championships will come.
