Vols Football in Enemy Territory

25k the week after...which was obviously well before anyone could envision we would win the National Championship. Actually didn't even consider it, though i was a student at the time and sure could have used the cash.

was thinking at some point to offer it back to the University...maybe in exchange for a framed picture and life time season tickets! As of now, can't really use them.

Spent the first six years of my life in Washington, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Became a Vol fan because my favorite color was orange. Moved to Johnson City when I was six. Never looked back.

Went to college in South Carolina and am now in grad school in Massachusetts, but my heart will always be in Tennessee.

Born in TN and bleeding orange when we moved to AL as a kid. I even graduated from AL in the Bear Bryant years. In the interest of self preservation, I tried to be an AL fan but I could not. For the last 45 years I have proudly worn my ORANGE in AL. I was in my seat with my son in section H last Saturday from warm-ups till the final gun. I love Neyland Stadium and my Vols! I hate to loose, but I still love my VOLS!

Born in and grew up in Nashville. Lifelong, diehard UT fan. The rest of my family pulls for Vandy for some reason, but when I was a kid on Saturdays in the fall, I would always get away from them and find a place to listen to J. Ward by myself . My company transferred me to Michigan last year. It sucks. Thank God for the VN website. I feel like it's the only place I can find "my people". Most people here in MI don't even know who our new coach is, although all agree that LK is a d*%k. Nevertheless, the passion for CFB is definitely lacking here, compared to the South, and its killing me. I hope to be back in TN before too long. Until then, it will be my mission to spread the orange gospel throughout the midwest (I just need the team to help me with my cause).

I spent the first 28 years of my life in Franklin/Nashville Area. My last game before I moved was UF/TN 98. Great game, great season! I have always bled Orange from as long as I could walk and talk. In the small town that I live in, kids are part of a group called "destination imagination". With the National Finals being on the Hill every year, I always get to see some power T's brought back to Washington. Warms my heart...Go Vols!

Born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee. Moved to B'ham with my parents when I was a teenager. When I lived in TN I was a VOL fan, but I wouldn't have called myself die hard.

When we moved I was very homesick, so I kind of latched on to the Vols more than ever. It was my way to feel in touch with home and show my pride. I always said i would move back, but life throws funny things at you. To this day I still love to tell people that I"m from Tennessee. (Because I don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama!:D)

Born & raised in Birmingham, AL. Wanted to leave the state for school, so I turned down a free ride at Bama for a partial scholly at UT. Law school in New England, then lived in Atlanta for several years before returning to Bham recently for a girl (who happens to be a Tennessean) and a job. The arrogance of Bama fans turns my blood more orange every year.

Born in Nashville. Moved to Greeneville when I was 4. Pops got a job around Charlotte. Even though I attend Wake Forest, I am a huge VOL fan. If Tennessee and Wake play at the same time on the weekend it isn't even a question of which football game I'm watching...

We are in St Pete, just across the bridge from Tampa, but was born and raised in knoxville. (I'm a Beaver, those who know, know) There is a pretty good contingent of Vols down here. Always run into a few when we fly our car flags on gamedays or when I'm wearing a hat. Have thought about opening a Tennessee themed bar a few times to cater to all us missplaced Vols down here and which ever team is playing Florida that week. Home away from home. . .

i LIKE THE CHECKERBOARD ENDZONE!!!

went to college in Knoxville, grew up in memphis. Once in Knoxville you don't have a heart (or brain) if you don't root for the VOLS.

My family moved to Rockwood when I was 2 so I grew up in East Tennessee and I lived in east TN (mostly Knoxville) on and off for 20+ years. Met my wife online and moved to AZ to marry her.

My dad was born and raised in Tennessee. He was a big Vols fan and I followed in his footsteps since the day I was born.

Raised in Tennessee for 22 years, attended UTK.......no Vol fans here, although Chuck Webb is from here.

I am moving to Raleigh next summer, cannot wait to get away from these yankees and back down south.

I met her on one of the online match sites. We talked for months, I flew to AZ several times eventually moved here to get married. Been married since 1/2/2003. Yes, the date was on purpose (so I don't forget).

I was born on a mountain top in Tennessee, greenest state in the land of the free. Raised in the woods so I knew every tree, killed me a bar when I was only three.

Now I live in Louisiana (grad school--what was I thinkin?). But I am awaiting word on a job interview outcome, that would move me to Nashville, after 27 yrs down on this f'n bayou. Y'all keep fingers crossed for me to come home, please.

I thought the thread title was yet another optimistic prediction on how far the Vols might advance the pigskin this week.

Raised and currently living in SoCal. Might seem childish but, watched a vol game on espn one day (age seven or eight?) and i LOVED their jerseys, seemed unique and pretty sick. So i started rooting for the vols ever since. ahaha :D

We need all the support we can get. Anyone admitting to being a Vols fan now, must be one.

We've got all the packaging, we just need athletes to stuff in it.

My father was in the military for 20 years. Born in Fort Bragg, NC. Stationed everywhere! Attended elementary school in Maryville. Graduated from UTC. Watched the VOLS my whole life on TV. Currently live just outside of Orlando, FL in enemy territory!
May get bashed.... but was a big time Fulmer fan. Go VOLS.

My father was a Georgia fan until I was about nine years old, and my mom was an Auburn fan. When I was 9 I went to a friends house and there was a Tennessee football game on. I sat down and watched it and I haven't looked back since. Good news? I converted both of my parents to UT fans!

Born and raised in NE TN. Moved to Iowa last year. Have always been and will always be a Vols fan. Unfortunately, there aren't many others around here. Just a bunch of crazy Big 10 fans thinking their conference is the best...
