Vols' football discussion, minus the coaches/rumors/etc.

The late-game let downs have been killer. It would be great if the team came in with a no excuses attitude, winning the game like grown men.

Slant routs and drag routs as well as hitting the TE over the middle will establish the threat of a completion. That is just it, we need to "establish" that threat. We have not done that all year. Next step in the evolution of this football team. Establish a passing game early and the run game will dominate.

I'd like to see a few slants. It's there for an easy 8-10 yards.

Comparing the game plans for Dobbs in the UF game (our only SEC game so far) and our other games, I wonder if the coaches are protecting him from injury in the games that "don't matter" by limiting his runs. I understand ALL games matter but some are more important for the team's goals than others; specifically thosegames against SEC and SEC east opponents. If the coaches are scheming games to decrease risk of injury to Dobbs in less consequential games and more wide open in the important games, then we should see something akin to the offense we witnessed against UF. Should be fun.

Somebody mentioned on the radio that he was beat up too bad after the UF game and still recovering during the Arky game. I believe it.

Tennessee and Georgia have a lot of the same strengths and weaknesses. Great run game, poor pass game.

Key to the game is stopping the run and forcing the QB to pass. If Georgia can stop our run, and we can't pass, we lose. If we can stop the Georgia run, and they can't pass, we win.

Agreed. We need to get their QB to make mistakes.

I'd like to see Dormady more, I hope the rumors of him leaving are false, because I think he may be UT's best bet at QB.....stay tuned
