What the hell are you talking about ? Frosty Rucker played DE at almost 280lbs while at USC, Everson Griffen was a 268lb DE last year at USC. Carlos Dunlap played at 273lbs last year at UF.

He recruits a bunch of guys early in positions of need and what is said they are only 3 stars when looking closely all of them are high 3 stars one or 2 impressive games from being 4 stars (as if it really matters). We already had the number 1 kicker in the nation and he brings in the number 1 punter also in a total stealth move that caught EVERYONE unawares.

Not a single one of Dooley's moves has been scooped which leads me to the moral of the story. I think the NEGAVOLS are in truth a league of disgruntled reporters mad they can't get the scoop on Dooley.

I read this board religiously though I don't post often. But I just have to say that this is one of the best posts I've ever read here. Dooley is proving time and time again that he can pull a rabbit out of the hat when it comes to recruiting. And unless and until he proves me wrong, I'm going to assume that he can do the same on gameday.

I've seen a change in this board over the last couple of days, where more and more people seem to be saying, "let's give this guy a chance and see what he can do." To those like volwarrior, calm down and quit looking at every glass like it's half pissed-in.

VolNation, thanks for providing some great summer reading on this thread. It has all the elements -- breaking news, truth, lies, accusations, villans near and far and a hero (pimo1) to tie it all together. I generally avoid posting among the hardcore (that's a complement) because I hate being reminded what I don't know. But I like what's happening in Big Orange Nation these days.
FYI -- old news (on this thread), Tyron Smith was one of the Trojans who was ineligible for the Emerald Bowl. So 33 wasn't a million miles wrong, he was just wrong.

The bashing has always been insignificant in the grand scheme. He'll either get the job done and win over the fan base, or fail, and lose the support he has.

This has been a great week for him, though. And, I get the feeling we may get even more good news. It all helps by giving him a better chance to get the job done on the field (his performance there is ultimately the arbiter of the debate).

Funny... I seem to think there is a guy named Dwight Freeney who weighs 268. Guess he is needs to shed a few to really be a pass rush specialist. I will make sure he gets your memo.

Don't think I'm comparing Jackson to Freeney. I used him because he plays in the same defensive scheme.
