That's right. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, GTFO of our thread...
LV, I agree 100%.
I had the pleasure of watching the Vols annihilate Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl 1/1/05. I loved every minute of that game but one of the most impressive things about that game was the spirit of the A&M fans. Even when it was obvious they had no chance of winning or even being respectable, they cheered as if the score was tied and most of them stood the entire game.
Very few of them left before the final whistle blew. Now look at the history of that program and tell me they haven't seen a few "re-runs". They have been mired in mediocrity for more than just a few years with no end in sight.
I can't see spending the effort, time and money to get to a game and then leave early. Sure, it's a person right to do whatever they want with the ticket and the seat they bought, but if you're going to be a fan, be a fan. Don't keep changing your mind based on the next play, the next quarter, the next game or if the season doesn't turn out as you hoped.
I can see where a little civil disobedience can help when a change needs to be made. But that change has already come and the new regime has already demonstrated proficiency and needs support until it's obvious they can't get the job done.
