Vols fans bashing Vols fans thread (merged)

That's right. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, GTFO of our thread...

LV, I agree 100%.

I had the pleasure of watching the Vols annihilate Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl 1/1/05. I loved every minute of that game but one of the most impressive things about that game was the spirit of the A&M fans. Even when it was obvious they had no chance of winning or even being respectable, they cheered as if the score was tied and most of them stood the entire game.

Very few of them left before the final whistle blew. Now look at the history of that program and tell me they haven't seen a few "re-runs". They have been mired in mediocrity for more than just a few years with no end in sight.

I can't see spending the effort, time and money to get to a game and then leave early. Sure, it's a person right to do whatever they want with the ticket and the seat they bought, but if you're going to be a fan, be a fan. Don't keep changing your mind based on the next play, the next quarter, the next game or if the season doesn't turn out as you hoped.

I can see where a little civil disobedience can help when a change needs to be made. But that change has already come and the new regime has already demonstrated proficiency and needs support until it's obvious they can't get the job done.

Actually, they swayed the entire game. There is nothing quite as nauseating as watching one entire half of the stadium rock back and forth in unison while nursing a hangover at 10:00am on New Year's morning.

I'll tell you what, you worry about you and I'll worry about me. I don't know about you, but I've had season tickets there for a long time now and I'll use them how I please. So unless you plan on coming over to my section and physically restraining me from leaving, I'd simply suggest you just shut your mouth.

thought u were glad to make us angry glad to make you angry

Hey, Can someone tell me how we scored at the very end? I was at my tailgating spot drinking away my sorrows two beers at a time.

Then you are not a "true fan." I was walking down the riverwalk towards the bar at the Marriott looking for a boat named "kiddiedoc rox" when I heard the fireworks, 'cause that's what "true fans" do.

:cool2:

I sure hope the dips**** beat the traffic and got to wherever they needed to be. I usually try to clear my schedule on Saturdays so I can go watch all of the game. If I needed to be at some other place, I wouldn't waste my money to go to the game and leave before it's over. It's embarrassing to watch the fans file out of Neyland in the 3rd and 4th quarter...

So for all the idiots that rush up the steps to beat the traffic, GTFO!!!!!!!!

Is this idiot serious!? Some people don't live in Knoxville and have WORK the next day. Maybe you like sitting in traffic til 2am after your team has got spanked but I DON'T!!! I thought I was being a "true fan" by saving up what little money I do have and then driving 3 hours 2 Knoxville and then 3 hours back to Atlanta. I guess I was wrong. Leave it to "LV" to tell everyone what they should be doing with their time and money. LV you are picture of whats wrong with vol fans. Suck it you ***!
