Fulmer got fired because his teams were not beating good teams, his teams were ultr penalized, his recruiting classes were declining, his players were getting arrested daily, the fans demanded it and the boosters agreed.

It was time for Fulmer to go. The game had passed him by. I would have liked to see him become asst AD in charge of FB operations, but that wasn't offered, and Fulmer would not have let go of the HC job.
If you think Hamilton was wrong, why hasn't any other AD offered Fulmer a job? Minnesota doesn't want him for Christ's sake.

What a sorry coaching staff! Seven games into the season and this DL is still 60 pounds underweight AND sloooow! The LBs are all still small and sloooow. The Best CB still plays like a sissy girl...No offence to sissy girls, actually some may have more testoterone than that no covering, slap boxing pansy. The other CBs are STILL a freshman and a WR masquerading as a CB. One of the S is still a SEC scout teamer and the other one..well he's actually pretty good but still, shouldn't he be able to at least slow down Alabama since he so great. I mean it's not like we were playing a team with a bunch of first rd draft picks on Offense. And that's just the D. By now this team should be bigger and faster and ...well just...manlier and older and smarter. Bunch of suck##$ coaches ain't getting it done.

dooley has control of his team, they just kinda played like crap i mean they were doing ok at first i just cant believe the fans actually left. thats what upset me the most, i mean even tho we lost stay there till the end.

Martin, who wasn't even freakin' dressed for the game, pushed the Bama player while out of bounds.

Yes, that is a flag, and Dooley should have sent Martin to the locker room IMMEDIATELY!!!

From an outsider's perspective...

You guys have been in every game at halftime except Georgia. To me that generally means that coaching and scheme are solid but talent and especially depth are lacking. You might not be seeing noticable weekly progress, but, my god, 5 of your 7 games have been against top-30 defenses.

I don't know if CDD is going to get you guys back to the top or not, but it seems to me that the fundamentals are in place. Now it'll come down to whether or not the guy can recruit and restock the cupboards.

I'm sure it's a rough season in Knoxville but at least you guys beat your 1AA opponent.

I agree. Discipline is something that cannot be taken lightly. That laughing he did afterwards really got me.

Fire Dooley? Fire Chaney? How bout we man up as a fan base and get behind our staff and players. We should expect a winning team, but in time.

I knew I needed stitches but I didn't think it was going to hurt so bad.

Who in their right mind thought all the losses were going to be close and that we would look like an "organized" losing team.

I know - It's all Dooley's fault and everyone on these forums with an average age of 19 know more then he does. :good!:

I wonder how many posters on here were saying that they were going to give Dooley this year before they start getting upset because they knew from the start the deck was stacked against us. I wonder how many have already started whinning after saying that. :cray:

I blame "Summer's Eve" Hamilton for:
a)The way the Fulmer firing was handled.
b)The absolute lack of athletic department management.
c)The football program has "progressed" from sold out every week to walk up and buy tickets game day status.
d)The fiasco with the baseball program.
e)The failure to control the basketball program.
f)The reaction instead of action surrounding LK's departure. When he learned that LK might leave, he chose to go ski in Colorado instead of looking for contingency plans so he could ACT instead of REACT.
g)The general chaos of the athletic department.
h)The failure of the swimming program.
i)The depths to which the track program has fallen (it used to a great source of football talent --- as in Willie Gault, Richmond Flowers, et al)
j) ..... and many other failures too numerous to list

I'm tired of people being pleased with inferior products and finding the sunshine through the clouds. I don't care if we were in it at half time or the 4th quarter... When the clock reads 0:00 in the 4th, I want the scoreboard to represent something respectable win or lose... Getting our faces kicked in for 41 points is not that. There's teams out there playing freshman and sophmores and getting MUCH more production out of their team than we are. Bottom line, CDD is way in over his head and it's going to take him a few years to stop sinking and learn how to swim... and even when that happens how will he fair to the competition? We need a big name to go with our big program!

I DEMAND SATISFACTION... and this post appreciates embarassment week in and week out HOPING something comes out of it. Give me a break

I am 3 years old and am going to throw myself in the floor of Walmart until I GET WHAT I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dooley is horrible and I don't except it...... I want more!! MORE!! BETTER!!! If we lost by 10 I would still be calling for Dooley's head!!!
