The jesse perry development since he got to UT is pretty awesome. 6’6 320lb and can play any spot. Thats big time.
So freaking awesome to finally have some quality depth. I honestly can’t remember the last time we were in such good shape on the Oline it’s crazy to think we’re starting 2 5 stars at tackle and there’s quality players behind them.Elarbee raves about Perry today. We are really deep at Guard this year with Sham, Perry, Moe and Pendleton. Thats IF Satterwhite plays Center. It kinda feels like Pendleton might get the start at Center if He and Satterwhite are about the same so that Perry can start at the other Guard spot. Hubbs mentioned that IF that happens that Moe likely moves to Right Guard next to inexperienced RT Sanders and Perry would be at LGuard next to LTackle Heard so that the right side of the line wouldnt have 2 relatively inexperienced guys on it and the left side have 2 veterans in Heard AND Moe. So a lot of the Oline picture depends on what happens at Center and where Pendelton plays. Elarbee has his hands full this season but that's a good thing. We finally have some depth at least in the middle 3 positions. We are still pretty thin at Tackle...i believe Warren is currently the 3rd best OTackle though and the 1st guy off the bench to spell Heard or Sanders.
Tell me about it. I remember when Trevarious Saulsberry was our best option at DT (2014ish?), then after that....nada.So freaking awesome to finally have some quality depth. LOS on both sides of the ball should be just fine. What a breath of fresh air.
Same take away. I can see where some might see Sam as ahead but it sounds like great competition going on.Yeah, I listened as well and all I can figure is he was referring to this quote just before the 9 minute mark? "He's got to continue to build his body to be able to handle the stress of a season."
he’s in great shape, healthy, and is taking a very vocal and role in the locker room.Catch me up....I've heard some solid news about the o-line as a unit, which is huge, but how is Lance Heard coming along? He was a liability last year. If he improves and plays up to his potential, it would be massive for our offense.
The media can't win. Maybe it's a "situation that should remain in the building" and is remaining in the building.I blame the lazy media...is JJ injured? JJ wasn't even mentioned in CRG interview. A guy like JJ not on the practice field this long and no one is questioning his coach? Yep darn lazy
it could be as you say a locker room thingy but you have to ask the question. Coaches know how to answer these types of questions. The media can't win. Maybe it's a "situation that should remain in the building" and is remaining in the building.
If they ask about it, they suck.
If they don't ask about it, they suck.
Lazy? They are mouth pieces. People rip Tony Basillio because he doesn’t bow to the UTAD and give in to their super secret BS. Then, folks wonder when we can’t get info on a player because none of these lapdogs will ask real questions.I blame the lazy media...is JJ injured? JJ wasn't even mentioned in CRG interview. When I said media I meant the guys who actually attend practices then report their observations, media that attend press conferences and ask questions. That certainly doesn't describe TB. And yeah I think RTI, 247, VQ, etc. are lazy for not asking any questions on JJ.Lazy? They are mouth pieces. Weary too.Yeah. Maybe I'm just overly optimistic but I'm not as worried about WR depth as most others. We've got 5 solid options IMO between Matthews, Staley, Brazzell, Smith Jr, and Boo. I don't know what to think Jefferson, Jackson, and Dodson yet but that's 3 more guys who should be able to contribute. That's 8 bodies right there. Then you have Braylon Harmon and Tommy Winton III who appeared in some games last year and the JUCO transfer Deon Hardin. So I'm seeing 11 guys who could reasonably be expected to contribute. We leaned on 4 primary WRs last year and only 7 recorded more than 5 catches.
That being said, we don't have much SEC experience in our depth chart, and that's a valid concern.
They don’t ask the question because people like you would then say they are being too negative. Knoxville media are too scared to upset coaches and the sunshine pumpers.it could be as you say a locker room thingy but you have to ask the question. Coaches know how to answer these types of questions.
