I was drunk. Passed out on a bus, and woke up on Parris Island. A nice man got on the bus and asked me if I would like a haircut and some new clothes.
If this ever happens to you.....DON'T FALL FOR IT!
I had to LMAO at this one my friend.
I can't imagine being hungover getting off the bus at PI.
LMAO at any USMC DI being called a nice man.
The 1 thing my recruiter told me that was factual was to get my long hair cut short before I left for PI because the barbers loved to go as fast as they could to put a little pain in the scalping.
In 1971 I went from really long hair to less than 1/2 inch long and I was sure glad I did when I hit PI.
I think I was in a state of total shock the first 30 days I was there but I had just turned 17 years old and was the youngest recruit on PI at the time, LOL!
I was right on track to get my PFC stripe out of bootcamp but a smartazz moron from NJ ruined that for me.
He was in formation behind me and he constantly stepped on the back of my boots when marching in my best boots that I worked so hard on to get a great spitshine on.
One day I lost it, did a to the rear march and started beating the hell out of that scumbag, LOL!
By the time it was broken up he had a bloody nose, bloody lip and 2 black eyes and looked like a racoon for over a week, LMAO!
I thought I was headed to the brig after that.
Sevearl guys loved me doing that to him but all 3 of my DI's really chewed my azz and scared the hell out of me.
On graduation day all 3 of my DI's told me they actually loved me doing that too but they had to make a statement to keep discipline so they took me off the PFC promotion list.
At least that NJ scumbag got dropped from our platoon 2 weeks before graduation and and to go back through bootcamp all over again, LOL!
Ahh yes, the good old days at PI and 100 gazillion sandfleas.
Semper Fi Brother!
