The image of Trevarris Saulsberry, the Gainesville, Fla., native in his final trip to Florida’s Swamp and in his final time as part of the Tennessee-Florida rivalry, quickly went viral and succinctly summed up what no words could in the wake of yet another Vols’ loss to the Gators last year.

There was Saulsberry, face-down on the grass, inconsolable as Tennessee’s 27-14 fourth-quarter lead was transformed into a 28-27 defeat.

Of all 11 of the Vols’ consecutive losses to the Gators, this one might have been most gut-wrenching.

Tennessee’s players admitted they recalled that feeling this week, even as they’ve steered clear of the returning the Gators’ bulletin-board approach.

“I mean, everybody knows how they felt after that game,” said sophomore defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie. “All that type of stuff. We know what that feeling felt like, and nobody wants to have that feeling again. So it’s just another week. Be 1-0 this week. Been preaching now we’re 0-0. Guys just getting ready to go and get after Florida.”

Vickers acknowledged, however, that this Florida game carried extra weight.

“I mean, of course, it’s 11 games. I’d be lying to you if I said we didn’t think about it,” he said. “Every day we’re just trying to be a better team. When we come into the week, we know it’s Florida, we know we’re rivals and we pretty much don’t like each other, so that kind of makes it fun when you get on the field and we can compete and try to end that streak.”

While I'm not as dramatic about it as some I really wish Butch would get off that it's just another game speech. Most are just another game, but a few aren't. He needs to embrace the SEC culture a tad more and I think more fans would be behind him a little more. I get what he's doing but I think he might be steering a little to hard in one direction.

Just another game = 0-11

We've had this game circled = 11-0

Bull ****. You are not listening to what's going on in this program, you are not watching the damn games. Take that **** back to highschool. I've had about all I can take. I've hit a ceiling of this cry baby whiney attention getting bull****. Time for a change. It's a different game.

I am seriously hitting a limit guys. I can't take it anymore, I can't. You cannot think that way and act that way and expect to go into a situation like this with a positive outcome. You have an affect on what's happening. Own It.

You're mad because its true, look at statements from the Florida players over the last decade and you'll find a team that hates Tennessee. They go into the game confident and win. Now lets examine Tennessee, just another week and down playing the game. Or our fearless leader Butch Jones who down played the game then immediately got on the media's a$$ about unfair reporting. I was on board with Butch Jones and still am for the most part but that press conference yesterday was some chicken sh!t bs.

There is no way in hell I'm giving credit to florida wins to their great sportsmanship and attitudes. That is ****ing ridiculous.

CBJ and team 120 need to own it and win the damn game. Quit making excuses about everyone and everything effecting the outcomes of these games. OWN IT

Did you know that none of us posting here actually play in any of the games?

You have an affect. You have an affect on the espn (who's listening), on people outside the program (who's listening), on future students and recruits (who's listening). On the players who can't help but hear it. It's time to flip the switch people. It's time to turn it on. It's time for a different game. It's time for change. You affect that change.

I really don't care for either side of this debate, but your infatuation with blowhards tells a lot about your side of the argument.
