For the second consecutive day, Tennessee rallied from an early deficit only to see UL Monroe answer late as the Warhawks defeated the Volunteers, 7-4, on Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

uh-oh. here's comes the longest part of the season. it will take a few years to get the vols back into the tourney. maybe next year for the sec tourney. team still has no power hitters.

Just have to get to 10th to make the SEC Tourney now, as young as we are, that's not an unreasonable goal with the way some of the other SEC teams have been playing.

Deer I thought the 10 team tourney isnt in place until next year when the other schools come into the league. Am I wrong?

Thanks. I didn't realize that was the case. That changes things a lot. I would say that Tenn, kentucky, Auburn, and Alabama are fighting for the last 2 slots.

Disappointed to lose the series for sure but we once again had our chances to take take the lead and get a few extra runs but just couldn't. The move to get Will Maddox back at the leadoff spot has been great and he hit the ball well all day imo especially his first 2 at bats of the day. The catch that Fritts made diving on the track was as good as you will see by anyone anywhere. CDS still has some work to do and he's even said as much but this is still a much improved baseball club.

Unable to take advantage of the chances to score.

2nd straight weekend the this team played a non cupcake team inexperience has been exposed. A dissappointing loss, and another bump in a long season.
If they can't play better than the last 2 games than they aren't going to be winning any games vs the UG Dawgs.
