Suggs decided to attend Arizona State University, where he played defensive end for coach Bruce Snyder and coach Dirk Koetter's Arizona State Sun Devils football teams from 2000 to 2002. He finished his career with 163 tackles, including a school, career-record 65.5 tackles for losses, and 44 quarterback sacks, 14 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and nine passes deflected. He set an NCAA single-season record with 24 sacks in 2002.[6] Following his 2002 junior season, he was a first-team All-Pac-10 selection and the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, and was recognized as a unanimous first-team All-American.[7]

Alongside Cornelius Bennett and later Keith McCants, Thomas spearheaded one of the best defensive lines in college football and smashed many Crimson Tide defensive records, including sacks in a single season. He was awarded the Butkus Award in 1988 after a season which saw him set an NCAA record 27 sacks along with finishing 10th in Heisman Trophy balloting. He currently holds the single season NCAA FBS sack record with 27 and what was the career sack record with 52 career sacks. He was also selected as a unanimous All-American at the conclusion of the 1988 season, a season which culminated in the Crimson Tide's thrilling 29-28 victory over Army in the 1988 Sun Bowl. In 2000, Thomas was named a Sun Bowl Legend.[2] He was awarded the Sington Soaring Spirit Award by the Lakeshore Foundation. This annual award is named for University of Alabama football legend Fred Sington. Thomas was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.[3]

The most positive thing IMO about our depth is having Corey and Derek fresh in the fourth quarter. You want your best pass rushers on the field in crunch time.

This is the most talented team in Tennessee history overall. And one of the most talented in college football history.

Its gonna be fun to watch these guys over the next 2-3 years and then to off and dominate the pros.

Take your pessimistic BS elsewhere.

Anybody who watches a lot of football can see that this is the most talented CFB team of all time. We currently have 22 starters who will go on to be All-Pros, ~73 future first round picks on the roster, the first ever unanimous Co-Heisman winners in Dobbs and Hurd, and a future two time Heisman winner in Guarantano.

You need to study film more.

UT has so much talent on the D-line, it will be hard to get all these stars in the game. After they get up 40-50 butch can empty the bench.
