Well I'll just change this to a discussion then, at the beginning of the year I gave our Vols little to no chance against UGA but after what I have seen so far I am inclined to believe that we have a better shot than I previously thought.
UGA isn't quite as good as I expected (except for their running game) and our guys are playing with more discipline and heart than I could have hope for considering the past few years of turmoil. So I was curious if anyone else's opinions on tomorrows game has change and how they think we will match up against UGA tomorrow?

My mindset hasn't changed at all from the beginning of the season to now. I thought the East was going to be up for grabs and it looks like that is exactly what is happening. Every East game is winnable and UGA has not impressed thus far. I know USCe has been putting up points but that was an extremely disappointing loss. If anything I'm more confident in our boys than I was at the beginning mainly because of what we've done. I honestly think our defense wins this game for us and shut them down. They are always overhyped and this is a good time to take them off their high horse after a HUGE win versus Troy haha

I think the key to the game is our D forcing Mason to beat us with his arm, if we can do that I think the Vols win, if not it will be a long day. The GA running game is going to get theirs, I would guess between 150-200 yards. If they get more than that we are going to need to hold them to FG or create fumbles to win the game.

We will have to stack the box and hope that our corners can play man coverage out on an island. I have faith in our secondary, especially Cam.

The 2nd quarter and second half of that OK game changed my mind on a lot of things. If you had asked me in the 1st quarter of the OK game I would have told you we'd struggle to beat KY. The big thing for me is that win or lose I have 100% confidence this team is going to give their all and grow. I really don't know how many wins it will translate to but oddly I am not concerned if we do lose. Win or lose I believe they'll lay it on the line and I can't fault that. Future looks bright.

After watching the Okie game I saw a team that was missing two of their top receivers along with TE Wolf. It changed the dynamics of that game. Could have been a different story with them in the lineup out there. Now we had a bye week to work on how to improve the OL play and we have Wolf back. No Smith or Pearson. For me the Key is; has the offense improved during the bye week to overcome No Smith or Pearson? :hi:

UGA's pass defense looked very vulnerable against South Carolina.

If our O-Line can slow down the blitz enough for Worley to find the receivers I think the Vols have a good shot to win.

ga has the best RB posse in the country, this game will be very physical and downright brutal in the trenches. We will find out how tough the Vols are Saturday. We have a chance if the D plays 60 mins and tackles well. Coach Strip says Saulsberry will play. :thumbsup:

We usually play Georgia tough no matter how bad we are or how good they are. With that in mind I'm thinking it will be closer than the experts say and we'll have a chance to win it. Time to get over the hump.

Their top 3 WRs are out for this game, so surely we can stack the box and let our DBs handle whoever's filling in for them.

Gonna take some discipline on both lines and our defense as a whole, but I seriously believe we can pull out a W if we play to our potential.

I think GA gets 24 points. It's just a matter of Worley getting enough time for us to get more. I think he will.
