That’s not technically true, an Auburn loss Saturday still would work.

Not sure South Carolina can pull it off, but they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

18-11 (9-8) and currently in that log jam for the 5 seed, if they manage to upset Auburn they'll separate themselves especially if Alabama lose to LSU and if Florida loses to Kentucky it'd be South Carolina alone as a 10-8 team.

Auburn is not that impressive, though. Their only really good win is Kentucky and that was at Auburn. They may end up being the worst 1 seed in awhile.

Auburn is not that impressive, though. Their only really good win is Kentucky and that was at Auburn. They may end up being the worst 1 seed in awhile.

Also the luckiest. They escaped one possession losses to Missouri and Georgia, and Miss St had a choke job. They easily could be 11-6 right now and locked into the 4 seed.
