Towards the end, quarterbacks were throwing to receivers for routes on air. Both Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton looked good throwing the deep ball.
There was an assorted of jersey colors on display today. A good bit of scholarship players were in black jerseys, simulating scout team. Jaylen Wright looked to be in a noncontact yellow jersey.
Jordan Phillips was the lone early enrollee on the practice field today while Jimmy Calloway was in street clothes. Mid-term enrollees Justin Williams, Tyre West and transfer Gerald Mincey are due in town later today.

Speaking of the offensive line, still no Cade Mays (ankle). It looked like Jeremiah Crawford was working with the rest of the starters at right tackle during some individual and full-line drills. The junior college transfer split time with Dayne Davis during the Vanderbilt game and may get a chance to build off it in the bowl game if Mays can't get healthy.

Freshman athlete Trinity Bell continued to work with the defensive line and freshman athlete Kaemen Marley again was with the linebackers.

The offense did some individual work and then had routes-on-air with quarterbacks Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton III sharp in the wet weather, particularly on some deep throws.

Bell was in a non-contact jersey along with defensive backs Theo Jackson and De'Shawn Rucker and running back Jaylen Wright.

I bet he enters the portal after bowl game. Last thing I saw on Cade is he has not made up his mind yet of staying or declaring. Probably will not play bowl game either way.
Doesn't look good for Mays and the bowl game. I think he's genuinely undecided.

I think that would be a mistake for Calloway. He hasn't done enough to draw interest from good programs. He might help himself with PT by going down a level or two but I wouldn't want that if I were in his shoes.

I’d be happy if he gained common sense, like throwing the ball toward the end zone instead of running out of bounds with no time left.
Need to drop him in the Smokies somewhere, survivorman-style and give him a backpack full of peanut butter. The bears will put SEC defensive linemen in perspective and he’ll be unfazed in game situations from then on.

JG set the practice field on fire too and we all saw how that ended.

True but I have confidence in CJH and his ability to develop a QB. Hooker was an average ACC QB under a guy considered an offensive guru.

Granted I was confident in Chaney too and we know how that ended

If Milton ever plays another down at UT as a QB it will be a big mistake.

Gus’ Chicken needs to throw a lot of $law and baked bean$ at Cade for him to stay.

I think going or staying is a sperate discussion from Bowl game unless he is concerned about further injury.
